Picks up the fine stuff that stays on top of the pool water. Should help reduce having to clean the main filters. Made good, should hold up for a while. Only drawback is the size. needs to be longer.

I had trouble with a mesquite tree by my pool getting its small leaves clogged into my main filter. I ended up using these socks on my skimmer and pool vacuum canister. Now I just easily just change the socks when they are dirty. Not my pool filter basket rarely needs to be cleaned. This has made my pool maintenance so much easier. You just have to remember to change them out weekly or they do clog up but this is not a negative just a part of owning a pool.Update: I reordered this product and they must have changed the size of these filters. They do not fit on my skimmer basket any longer. They now have to stretch out and have no extra room for the debris. I will have to go to another brand.

Great value for the price. The socks seem small, but fit the skimmer basket just fine without slipping off. They trap the smallest dirt and particles, keeping me from cleaning the main filter as often. Easily washable, but for the price, throwing it out and using a new one every week is not a big deal. Very happy with the purchase.

Works good on my Intex side mount skimmer. They are a little tight fitting but they work well. ONLY complaint is that this was double boxed, and the outer box was smashed and opened (to see what was inside) I think AMAZON/USPS/UPS etc. needs to crack down on their shippers/drivers BC they are opening boxes and stealing things (My Nikes went missing from the Amazon mail last month).

I didn’t know what to expect with these filters. They are like a nylon netting and they fit inside the basket and the handle still snaps in into place. They catch everything we were shocked. This picture in my review was two days having the filter in place. This give me the confidence that my dog can swim in the water and it will catch all the hair and dirt without allowing it to go into my filter, highly recommend

I love these socks. I have a large in-ground pool and these socks have cut my backwash of the filter by more than half. It traps all but the smallest of particles so my filter media stays clean extending the life of the media. And they work really good when you are manually vacuuming the pool to trap all the large debris at the bottom of the pool after a storm or around early fall when the leaves really start to fall and the pine needles find the pool. Highly recommend.

This is my second purchase of these filter socks. The first I ordered last year were great! This last order they are way too small for my skimmer basket. I can still use for my leaf catcher. Good quality.

I decided to give these a try after reading how skimmer socks are suppose to catch extra stuff in your pool. I try to keep my pool clean but it seems to always have those super fine particles like pollen that just keep sinking to the bottom no matter how much you vacuum it. My skimmer basket is usually full of bugs, grass, hair, leaves and stuff like like so I figured I would see if these socks would catch more and to my extreme surprise, my basket was filled with something else along with the usual! I took the basket out and removed the sock and then replaced with a fresh one. I set the used sock on the ground and came back later to check it out. I was able to turn the sock inside out and literally peel the stuff off of it in layers. Whatever this sock caught had an almost cloth/lint like texture. I believe it captured a great deal of pollen and the bottom of my pool was much better- not completely fixed- but better. I will be able to reuse the sock as well. I do have to stretch the sock a good bit in order to put it on and it makes a funny shape in the center that allows an air pocket to form so the basket doesn't want to just sink into the correct position but float up instead. This will fix itself once you turn the pump back on. The sock will stretch out once it starts collecting stuff. I do believe this is a good product and worth using during the entire pool season. I had to remove the bar/handle inside my skimmer basket but that's not a big deal for me. I wish I had tried these sooner but I will from now on and will pass along my newly learned knowledge of these.
