Now if your looking as a beginer or want to advance froe basic's this is the book for you, it's excellent, and easy to follow.

As a long time rock/pop bass player, I never quite got how jazz works, but I have now begun to understand what is is all about thanks to this book and other multimedia sources. It is simple to understand and comes with a cd that allows a mainly ear player like me to understand and hear how the concepts should sound here is all the theory that you need, and if worked through methodically, give you a good basis for your Jazz apirations.
