Float really pressed grout in place. Ideally, the float could be a bit stiffer, but usually floats are generally at either extreme. So, l complemented this float with a stiff version, to scrape the tile surface clean.

I use this to do the grout i like because is 12” and cleans well also let a flat joint

Excellent and must have for grouting tile under cabinet toe-kicks. I use this narrow style in the field as well, in lieu of the wider floats. Perfect size for most applications.

There's no comparison, Marshalltown makes the best float, hands down.The only thing I would like to see changed, is having the 90° edge on the long end. I find myself awkwardly trying to remove the the excess grout under a toe kick. I use a new thin putty knife to square off that gout joint and all along the base and to clean out the inside corners anyways. So it's barely worth gripping about.

excellent float. i'm a union tile guy in new york so i need a good float for the jobs we do. the float is excellent at taking the excess grout off the tile and is lightweight so i love using it. only trouble with it is the rubber separates from the sponge a little easy after a while. this is my second one but it hasn't separated yet. can't beat the price either!!

The grouting float wasn't an original Marshall town

These are the no 1 standard in grout floats. The rubber float doesn't become rounded and stays a nice sharp edge which is perfect for taking off most of the grout. Allows for less sponging. This larger size suits floors better, the smaller float suits walls.

As a DIY user I can’t comment much vs other brands. All I can say is that it has made my life so much simpler. Refitting my bathroom with over 200 new tiles and was previously using a stiff rubber squeegee style grout applicator. This is so much better as it can hold more grout, spread it more evenly, doesn’t get it all over your hands and the squishy base allows you to apply firm pressure and get it into the joints really well. Cleans up better than expected. If you’re a DIY user thinking about buying one this is a great item to have.
