The easy and effective way to add extra HDMI connections to your 4K TV
With the ever expanding number of devices which require a HDMI connection inorder to communicate with your TV, it is amazing how quickly you can end upbeing faced with a dilemma when you realise that all the HDMI ports on your TVare already occupied.I personally have had this issue for a couple of months. I needed to connecta BT 4K YouView Box, a Samsung BD-D8200M3D Blu-ray Player and an Intel NUC5i5RYHmini desktop computer to my Samsung UE48JU6400 4K TV, but all of my HDMI portswere already in use.I had previously purchased and tried a different HDMI splitter from a differentmanufacturer, which admittedly, was not classified as 4K capable. However, I foundthat a basic HDMI splitter (with no 4K functionality) would not function at allwith my setup. This is when I started looking for a 4K HDMI splitter and I was fortunate to come acrossthe Kanaan splitter on Amazon. My new splitter arrived within 3 days of my initial order and I was very happy to seethat it arrived neatly boxed, complete with a compact user manual, a small 5V/1A power pack anda remote control with battery included. It only took a few minutes to setup the splitter with my required device configuration.Firstly, I connected the splitter to my TV using an HDMI cable. It is worth pointing out here that this package does not include any HDMI cables andtherefore you will need to ensure you purchase, or already have, enough cablesavailable for your desired setup. My next step was to connect my BT Youview box, my Intel NUC computer and my Blu-ray player toports numbered 1, 2 and 3 on the rear of the splitter. With everything connected I then plugged in the splitter's power pack and connectedthe power cable to the socket on its rear.On powering up the splitter, there is a green LED to indicate it is switched on.Also, each of the 5 HDMI ports on the splitter have their own numbered status light, whichglows blue when that port is active. The final step was to select the HDMI Source from my TV to which I had connected the splitter. On having selected the appropriate source on my TV, I was very pleased to be presented withthe output from the YouView box connected to the splitter's first HDMI port.At this point I tried to use the remote control to select the NUC computer connected to port 2but this did not work straight away, which lead me to consult the user manual. After which I found that the remote control worked perfectly, once I had removed its protective plastictransit tab, thus enabling its battery power.I am now able to easily switch between all 3 devices connected to the splitter. With this configuration, the computer displays equally well at both Full-HD and UHDresolutions. Also, the Youview box displays perfectly whether the source channel isSD, HD or UHD.In summary, I can wholeheartedly recommend this 4K HDMI splitter to anyone who is faced witha shortage of HDMI ports on their TV.Thank you very much for reading my review. I hope you found it useful and informative.

Excellent switcher
Excellent switcher:+ tons of inputs (6 to be exact :)+ solid build+ Changes between sources very fast.+ I love the fact that the Audio extractor can be set independently from the selected output. This way I get maximum flexibility.A few negative points (that's why it's not 5 stars)- the power button on the device ONLY powers off, not on, you need the remote to turn the device on or unplug/plug in the power cable- the pip feature is a bit flimsy. previews are too small and stutter. no big deal though- the power adapter is quite bad and already makes a high pitched noise. I will probably have to get a replacement soon. With these points in mind, the actual functionality provided is excellent, therefore I'm quite happy with it.

Great switch, but ensure your equipment is up to it
This switch does what it says - 6 inputs can be very easily switched to two different outputs. Both headphone & optical outputs also work great. It is powered, so the signal is better than with unpowered switches. My more modern equipment (newer TV, Ps4) switched smoothly - but the older the equipment, the less well it switched (e.g. on the old sound system / tv, the PS4 sound and sometimes picture would cut out - but they would be fine when switched back to the newer TV.)Eventually, I had to give up on the old sound system - it could not handle the switching. My new amp has a matrix built in, so regretfully this one is unemployed at the moment - but I will definitely keep it for later re-use.

Very happy with this product
This product really helped me out. I've been renovating a house and had some trunking put in by the builder to hide the cables for a TV and soundbar mounted above the fireplace. It was only after the work was done that I realised that the trunking wasn't wide enough to fit many cables. With this switch I have the power lead and a HDMI cable from the tv going through one lead (hd cable connects to one of the outputs) and a toslink (optical) cable and power lead going through the second pipe. My various devices all plug into the switch inputs and it all works perfectly.TIP: use a toslink cable for audio rather than use up one of the two HDMI outputs. One output is ARC enabled so if steaming directly on the TV you can still output to your audio device.TIP #2: only a German language user guide leaflet was included but English version available on the website. One criticism: there's a lot of LEDs on the device, with 4/5 lit at one time, these are fairly bright and noticeable. Modern device design tends to eschew this sort of thing as it can be distracting. In future models Leicke should reconsider at that.

Great little HDMI switcher box.
Very useful switcher for all the different boxes using HDMI to plug into the TV (which only has two HDMI's input sockets). With an Xbox, Humax, Samsung DVD player and Raspberry Pi running in slot order 1, 2, 3 and 4 (5 is currently spare) the Raspberry Pi runs quietly in the background. When I turn on one of the other devices (with the others left on standby [off for the Xbox]) the KanaaN switches to it so the remote isn’t needed unless I have more than one device on.A low green light at the front shows it's powered and the blue lights indicating which device is in use are quite bright but it might help if the box, which is small at approx 13cm W x 7cm D x 2cm H, can fit somewhere out of the way to lessen the glow. No more hybrid connecting to the telly with HDMI/component/RGB etc and a much neater HDMI arrangement now through the switcher. I just had to make sure the HDMI cable from the switcher to the TV was long enough (they're very inexpensive if a longer one is needed) as I tucked it down on top of one of the other devices below the TV.

does not support 4k @ 60hz, xbox one s in 4k does not work
great product does exactly what it said it would, only small thing is that when i upgraded to a xbox one s 4k is not supported on it as it cannot handle 60hz. Other than that its quick, easy to use and the remote works well as long as you don't have any other IR remote devices, mine changes the colour of my led light strips haha
