Buy this! Perfect for food motivated fur babes! Perfect combo of snuffle & licky style mats!!!
The media could not be loaded. I hemmed and hawed on this. Then I went for it. I got it today and immediately put it to use.I have fabric snuffle mats and I have silicone licky mats, and this is like a combo of each. What a great idea! SO GLAD I bought it!My 7 years old lab was recently diagnosed with lymphoma (it's terminal) and we dont have much time with her. Every day of her life has been good, and an absolute pleasure in min3, and will continue to be as long as she is feeling well. Taking it day by day. Nothing has really changed for her except she has a huge appetite (prednisone). I have been giving her extra mini meals throughout the day and will often utilize a snuffle mat, licky mat or kong to extend her pleasure. Give her something to focus on longer than what she would normally just scarf down. This works!I really didnt think I needed this, but once I got it in hand, it was exactly what I needed (on various levels. Sorry to get sappy. I just loved seeing my sweet perfect girls face light up when I showed her this).I loaded it up with the usual assortment of goodies. I smeared some wet pate all over and under the leaves, I sprinkles an assortment of kibble, as well as some healthy treats. I tucked away some blueberries and added in some stinky baltic spratz (dried whole mini fish). There is a lot of surface area to work with. It isn't limited to the base. Make use of the top side of the leaves as well as underside if using something sticky. The leaves are situated in such a way that food can be dropped onto the leaves. Kind of a shallow cup.She watched in interest as I compiled this for her. Her nose sniffing the air in anticipation. Then I called my husband out to watch her with her new mat. She was eager to comply with cues such as (sit, paw, wait). She was really motivated (normally she thinks those cues are lame, haha)! He set it on the ground so I could get pictures (which I will include). She worked on it for a long time, several minutes for sure. She was so focused and happy. She licked and snuffled and sometimes picked the mat off the floor to shake out some treats. She truly enjoyed this and it was novel enough that she seemed to get worn out (in a good way) from working this mat. She took a nice snooze afterward. Her brother isnt much into food unless necessary (and he's a lab! how can this be? haha), so I am not sure if he will use it after her time to go to Rainbow bridge comes. We also have a couple of cats, and I am pretty sure one of them would use this. We'll see. I dont want to offer it to them yet. Right now it totally belongs to my baby girl. When I came to review this, I noticed that the product listing has this on sale. I decided to go ahead and buy another because I want to give one to my friend who has a dog that needs to be on extremely low key activity for a few weeks. I think this will make a nice little gift. I'll add in a can of pate and some heathy treats for them to get started with. Little things like this can really help impact a dogs psyche. It is mental stimulation and it is also soothing, and therefor satisfying. So a doggo on bedrest may appreciate this!As with any dog, supervision is a must. My girl isnt into destroying anything, ever, nor would she eat the actual mat-- but your doggo might! So just keep an eye on them. The suction cups aren't great, but i didnt buy it for that. They also dont impede just placing this on the floor or rug.I noticed that I could get some suction when I pressed it down on my counter top, but it wasnt a strong suction. Maybe it would work better if a little damp or in a tub? Yet a more traditional style licky mat may work better for that if wanting to secure it to a wall.I totally think this is worth it. It made our day, and I will be using it again tomorrow. And hopefully many more tomorrows after that.

This will keepy little piggy cat busy!
The media could not be loaded. This little gem is slowing my kitty down quite a bit when he eats. I was advised by my vet to get a slow feeder for him. The suction cups work great and it's staying in place. Which is important because I got a different slow feeder before and my kitty kept knocking it over, but this one is stuck firmly in place! My cat has been working on finding his food for 10 minutes now so it's quite challenging :)Make sure you wash it a few times when you get it and scrub it very well before you use it. I found little tiny balls of silicone that were loose and I didn't want kitty to eat that. I had to scrub it with a scouring pad a couple times to get the surface clean.I'm very happy with this so far. 🌿 🐈⬛

Does not stick to linoleum
I like this mat and it does slow down my cat leaving time for my skinny cat to eat some before fat kitty comes. Although it does not stick at all to the bathroom linoleum which is annoying. I'd still recommend. 😜

My dog loves this! So easy to throw in dishwasher and turns a bowl of food into a foraging adventure
We love this product, it's such a fun alternative to a regular slow feeder. My dog loves it and it is easy to chuck in the dishwasher to sanitize. Highly recommend!!! Tough enough that it's going to last but I wouldn't leave it on the ground after the food is gone if you have a hard chewer who would rip it apart. Love that it's silicon and not fabric so it's sanitized easily

My dog loves it
My dog loves it! I put a few treats in there sticking them between the leaves for him to sniff out and he loves the challenge. Sniffing is a great brain exercise for the dog and tires them out. Definitely recommend to occupy a bored dog!

Cats struggled. May be for bigger animals
The cats struggled with this. The leaves are very firm, and there is a thing about Cats not liking things touching their whiskers when they’re trying to eat or something like that. Either way they really struggled with it. I think it was just too big for them. Smaller, more spread out leaves would be better for cats.
