The compass is great, my husband really liked it. We've been married 9 years and this was a nice gift to get him. He walked around the house with to make sure it was accurate 😂 The engraving is very nice. Would definitely recommend to others, my daughter also really likes it and she's 3. Her and her dad have a lot of fun playing with it.

Thus was absolutely perfect for mu surveyor husband. Plenty of space for me to engrave all I wanted. The after all product was absolutely stunning. I have ordered engraved items on Amazon prior and it was barely legible. Not in this case. Every word was clearly written on the brass and the leather. And my favorite and his favorite part was that it's an accurate working compass. Love it.

I'm giving this compass 5 stars with a caveat. The compass is as described. Solidly built. The engraving is well done. I recommend the compass. However, the leather pouch is a problem. The rivet that goes through the leather to hold the pouch closed is poorly designed. It has a flat metal screw head inside that will rub against the front/back of the compass. Whenever the compass is removed or replaced it will leave increasingly noticeable scratches. My compass arrived scratched simply from being jostled in shipping. I know that any fine metal with delicate engraving will be scratched with just ordinary use. However, it is a terrible look to give this compass as a gift with easily noticeable scratches on the face/back of it. Though, as stated before, the compass is well made. I do recommend the compass. The engraving is great. But beware of the pouch. Hopefully, the rivet/screw head will be redesigned. I've been able to fashion a suitable work-around for the screw head. Let me add that I contacted the business about it. They responded almost immediately. The remedied my situation quickly. It is a great business.

Beautiful keepsake we ordered for our Grandsons First Communion. The engraving and personalization are just as I hoped. Hopefully he will use this for many years and when he does he will be reminded from the message inside that God will slways be there to guide him.

I was very excited to receive this and I absolutely like it. However, I’m a little disappointed that the front of the compass is scuffed up. Other than that, I’m overall pleased with it!
