BG Electrical Intelligent Single Wall Dimmer Switch, 2 Way, Round Edge, Nexus 800 Series, White Moulded, 200W, 881

I installed the BG Electrical intelligent single wall dimmer switch in my home recently, and I’m really impressed with both its design and functionality. The round-edge white moulded finish fits seamlessly into my modern home décor, providing a sleek, clean look. It’s part of the Nexus 800 Series, so it feels like a high-quality product right out of the box.The dimmer is easy to use and operates smoothly, allowing me to adjust the lighting to the perfect level for different moods and activities. I’ve installed it in the living room, and it works well with my 200W lighting setup. The switch has a nice, responsive feel and doesn’t flicker or cause any issues when adjusting.One minor thing to note is that it's only rated for 200W, so it may not be suitable for larger setups or spaces with high-wattage bulbs, but for smaller rooms, it’s perfect. Overall, it’s a fantastic dimmer switch that provides great functionality and an elegant look at a reasonable price. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enhance their lighting control with a stylish switch.

If you have a shallow box, this requires the 10mm spacer otherwise it won't fit. Installation is easy, instructions on the website. It has around a half second delayed start and seems to "dimm up", i.e even at full brightness the bulbs are ramped up, rather than switched on, which is nice, even if it requires a bit of getting used to it.Overall appears to be a high quality dimmer for dimmable LEDs, makes no sound/buzzing and I'm loving being able to set the brightness down in the evening.

Purchased as a replacement for an existing, 30-year-old, dimmer switch for use with modern LED bulbs recently fitted throughout our house. Very easy to install and appears well made but would not operate correctly with the LED bulbs I have e.g. LED bulbs are dimmable at very low level but flicker up to max level. I discovered there are dimmable and non-dimmable LED bulbs. Works fine with halogen and old tungsten filament incandescent bulbs so I need to buy yet more LED bulbs to save money and hopefully this dimmer switch will operate correctly as described

This is a very good switch - very good value. It works right down to a very low level with no flickering..... controlling 4X4 watt lamps. There seems to be no audible noise.

Not so happy and will return the switch. It doesn’t work properly and slips when operating

Nice slim design and very easy to fit. We had a 30+ year old dimmer which didn’t work properly with our new led lights. Bought this to update it and it didn’t disappoint. Like that it presses for on/off and turns to adjust dimming level. This is =wry good VFM and I would highly recommend this fitting

Unlike the other dimmers used in the house (all with LED bulbs), this one does not dim fully and flickers at switching on. Not value for money either. Disappointed overall. Wouldn't recommend it.

I bought two of these dimmers and fitted one just fine. Works great with my LED bulbs, with smooth dimming right down to nothing and no flickering. Nice.However I couldn't fit the other one because the holes where you have to poke the wires before screwing them down are too small. The old switch has two multicore wires coming in to each of L1 and L2, and those bundles of conductors just won't squeeze in. A real shame they didn't make those holes a bit bigger.
