Love these pants! Wore them during my recent trip to Alaska and was amazed by how comfortable they are. The material is smooth against the skin and super lightweight. I like how easy it is to convert the pants into shorts on-the-go by unzipping the legs. I'm deducting one star because the price fell from $33 to $23 in less than 20 days since I bought them.

I live by a fresh water lagoon at the beach and we have a big problem with mosquitoes, especially in the late afternoons. These pants and a long sleeved shirt are a help when I take my dogs out in the backyard. I am familiar with this brand and use them when traveling, especially in Asia.

I'd give these 2.5 if I could.There is a lot of size variability for exactly the same size and color (had to try 3 to get one that fit as expected). You might get lucky or you might just get frustrated by the poor sizing and cut.The color is boring, but that was expected - it's for hiking.I don't recommend buying these unless you get an exceptional price, because the cut is odd and the rise lower than ideal for a hiking pant.The fabric does feel light, which is a plus.Too early to tell how they will perform on a long hike (concerned about comfort, potential chafing), but they should work for hanging out in the evening without getting bites.Get this only if you need a very inexpensive addition to your anti-mosquito/tick wear in case of emergency.

I wore these many times during my recent two-week trip to Guatemala. There weren't many bugs (I over-prepared) so I can't vouch for that property, but they are amazingly comfortable, stay cool and odor-free, look good, and keep their fit without getting all stretched out. I wanted another pair in a different color but the price shown now is almost twice as much as I paid. What's up with that?

These have a much smaller waist compared to other pants, I had to go up 2 sizes just to accommodate, now they fit baggy everywhere else. I haven't decided if I will keep them, I do really like the bug and sun protection they offer. Beware if you have a curvier waist that these may not fit well.

The waist is very tight with no give, which required me to size up 2 sizes. I haven’t tried them out with bugs yet

Very comfortable and breathable. Just don't iron as they will melt.
