Good choice
Bought for 4 year old grandson who loves anything space related. An instant hit, he even took the rocket to bed with him! His dad needed to help him put it together but easy to follow instructions. Requires batteries for rocket lights and count down.

Play Mobil is just so expensive
Grandson loves all rockets and things to do with space. It's his favourite toy of all time.I just find play Mobil so expensive for what you get.

Excellent toy, ridiculous packaging
I got this for my 4 year old twins and they absolutely love it, it’s brilliant for imaginative play. It well made and brilliant detail. It came in 3 pointless boxes though, one inside the other! One box would have been fine…

Bright lights weak sound!
OK, so, my wee boy (5) was excited at getting this for Xmas.. but I was disappointed that it does not come with batteries in this day and age!Whilst the rockets lights at the bottom (signifying the afterburner flames) were bright enough, and flashing somewhat to indicate the wavering flames... the sound - well, I call it sound, but it is just echoed gobbledegook... is so garbled it's hard to hear what they are exactly. There are 3 tiny buttons on the bottom of the back of the rocket, with 3 symbols to indicate what they're supposed to do...1. is the rocket symbol... but such a short blabbery sound, who knows what's being said or what sound it is.2. is the '321' countdown... this last for about 65secs, and is so full of echo's you can barely make out what the heck is going on!? I figure it is supposed to be the long countdown, with mission control chatter, beeps, etc, but once the 'talking'(?), and sounds finish, the last half of the 65secs is the flame lights going.. i believe this is to signify the take off, and the rocket zooming up through the sky?!You cannot understand one word of whatever it is they're saying on it, as the loud klaxon/beeping sound every second (of the countdown) masks any echoed words that are being 'spoken'!!3. is the satellite ...but for what?.. again, just garbled, echoed gobbledegook?!I have toys I bought him, smaller and bigger, which have a much better range and clarity of sounds.... just a pity Playmobil are not on the ball with their products.I also wanted to buy the Space Shuttle, which clips onto this rocket (like the real deal), but this is very hard to get a hold of!So, so disappointed with the sounds... we both felt like a deflated balloon after we heard them.I think I'll stick with the other popular toy-building maker we have!

Missing Part
Overall the rocket is perfect for my boy and exactly what he wanted. But I was really disappointed when assembling it this morning for my boys birthday, to find the cockpit shuttle was missing! So now we have the astronaut but no shuttle to put him in! Would have liked to have the shuttle replacement sent out, but I would have to send the whole item back and get it replaced. Considering this is my sons birthday present (which is today) I shouldn't have to take his present off him to get 1 part that is missing!

Lots of little parts & lots of fun
My 5 year old received this for Christmas. It took us a while to build and put all the stickers on however, the instructions were straightforward. Once built it looks brilliant. It has lots of little parts and characters. It's been almost 7 months and it is still a popular toy for him to play with.
