TheyAre The Prime Manufacturer Of This Product
Glad I found out that Boveda is the actual in house manufacturer of these packets and D'Addario is NOT. they are fortunately packed in their individual sealed plastic bags so no risk of drying out prematurely. I've been in Utah before moving to Idaho. Our humidity can run 15-35% on average over time. These keep the guitar at a nice upper 45+ percentage of humidity without fuss. My average change out lasts 3-4 months so a 12 pack comes in handy. I now have 2 find acoustics that I keep loaded with these pouches. There has been NO fluctuations in the action meaning the top has not shrunk nor bellied. They are doing their job. Sometimes the packaging Amazon uses can be cheap and the box can get a bit crushed. Fortunately, it's never caused issues with the pouches.

Good
I own a few violins. Each lives in its own case. I don't trust the humidity gages in the cases. I have seen high humidity destroy these instruments. So a 5$ product to make sure they are properly humidified (each packet averages to about 5$ at time of writing.) is cheap peace of mind. Now - I bought a couple govee temp/humidity sensors - again cheap.Performance - starting at a relative humidity of 40% it took ~2 hours to reach 52% inside of a largeish oblong violin case. All these numbers are +/-3% because the measuring device is +/-3%. The past 12 hours the humidity has not moved - at all. Though the case is being stored in a room with a dehumidifier that reports 55-58% in the past 12 hours. So, in reality, given the range of error on the measuring device it could very well be 49%.So, the packet is pretty accurate, they fit inside all my cases, and they are also easy to open and toss in a case. All in all a very cheap and easy peace of mind for your fiddle (collection). The packets measure within their rated range as far as my instruments can measure.(As an aside, I use the large 49%, I never tried the small ones rated for violins. But the price difference between small and large isn't worth a suspected more frequent replacement. And I bought my first set from my local strings shop.)

Musicians - Great For Areas With Dramatic Humidity Shifts
I used these products for my guitars and basses. Every instrument gets a two-pack of these humidity monitors in its hard shell case. I have many fine instruments and I rely on Boveda to protect them from the ravages of humidity and dryness year round. In an area with humid summers and dry winters, Boveda is a simple answer to the complex problem of managing humidity to protect expensive instruments.
