If you plan an APP - this book is a must!
Whether you are a novice or an experienced entrepreneur, a "techy" or a business type you'll find Ken's book a one-stop-shop for everything you need to know about building successful apps for the iPhone/iTouch & iPad platforms and equally important marketing them.I took the book with me to a Caribbean cruise, thinking to peruse through it in between trips to the pool and beach, but I ended up reading it cover-to-cover like a summer thriller. In spite of my 40+ years in technology, I found that App Savvy answered all my questions and some I didn't know to ask... Always to the point and never condescending. The interviews at the end of most chapter provided a well rounded perspective on the issues and links to additional resources completed this very thorough dissertation on everything mobile. No - Ken is not a relative nor a friend...

Lots of information, earmarks throughout
The author does a good job of presenting apps as a business, how to build a plan, test, develop, execute, and update. The content is enough to get a beginner to app development directed down a potential successful path. Only complaint about the book is the flow, where during the read the author directs you to skip ahead to another chapter to become familiar with a concept, then return to the previous chapter. If the concepts are so important, which I thought they were, why not just repeat the information and not interrupt flow.Would recommend for anyone serious about application development.

Great business process book, too. Amazing detail...
Ken, Does a fantastic job of vetting your App idea out prior to really even committing to a strategy. He outlines how he was successful, interviews other successful developers/business's and gives an easily to follow system. By purchasing the book you'll have an immediate ROI in the first chapter. I have zero experience in App development but this book is written in a simple to follow method giving you a receipt for success. With links to sites he uses to tune and vet his Apps before he spends money developing anything to market. Very good tech book and a great business process book, too. Fine work...he also has a good interview on Mixergy.com with Andrew Warner. And he responds to emails...way to go Ken & Oreilly...

mediocre
The book could have condensed a lot of the information it seemed to drag on in parts. Overall some good information.

Good information/ Boring Writing
I am trying to read this book but can't stay awake. I read business and tech books often,so personality and technology are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Good information, terrible read.

All you need to successfully launch an app...or any business
This is a very clearly written step-by-step primer on how to take an app idea from initial concept through to launch, but it could easily be applied to launching any business. Helpful links, summaries of current business strategies, tips and interviews with successful app entrepreneurs touch upon each phase of an app launch, especially the most critical phases for any new product: validating the concept and finding those initial customers. This book demystifies Apple's submission and approval process, and despite the depth of info it's an easy weekend read...but you'll want to use it as a reference as well. A must-read for anyone considering an iOS app.

Excellent Book
When I read all Amazon's reviews I hesitate in buying the book. All reviews sounded too good to be true. But After I just finished it, I have to agree that is an excellent referral, entreating and interesting with a lot of links to other tools and pages that makes it really useful.

A detailed, step-by-step guide to make even the newby more app savvy
App Savvy is a wonderfully rich resource for those who are interested in careful planning from an app idea to selling. Ken Yarmosh has shared a wealth of knowledge and resources that will allow even the tyro a better chance of success. This is a wonderful book. It is not for the faint of heart, however - I found that it needs to be read in stages because the information is so rich. I believe that if you follow what Ken presents in his book and strive for "world-class execution", you really will have an opportunity to do well. Thanks, Ken, for all your thoughtful and detailed work.

Interessante Lektüre
Sicher nichts umwerfend Neues, aber dennoch eine schöne Zusammenfassung all dessen, auf das man potentiell hätte auch selbst kommen können :-)

Perfect
I'm new to the business of developing apps and have found this resource a great source of advice, examples and support. It is very clearly written without being patronising and should work whether you're tech savvy or a non-techie with an idea to develop.
