Good value, budget set but probably not for beginners
These are cheap as chips and come with a pretty dull factory finish; however, once they've been honed (which takes a while because they're stainless steel) you're left with a bargain set of small but useful and very portable carving/whittling tools. Each individual tool is only about 10cm in length and you'll have to fit you own handles - I use old wine corks and they work well for me.I carry my set, a single handle, a couple of small penknives, a leather thumb protector and a small sharpening stone as a travelling kit when I'm out and about. These aren't good enough to replace any of your full-sized tools and I think a complete beginner to carving and woodworking might find themselves put off or limited by them but given their cost and performance they represent very good value in my view.

Very surprising for the money, great little chisels
At about a quid a piece I wasn't expecting much from these chisels but the steel is actually rather good. The edges needed cleaning up and sharpening but once I had them as I like them I've used them quite a lot. I bought a couple of cheap 3" file handles to fit them in to (a spot of heatshrink around the shaft will give a good fit) and they're the ideal size for accurate work. I've bought cheap chisels before and regretted it but on this occasion I don't think you can go far wrong.

Worth a bit of effort
I got these mini wood carving chisels on time and very cheaply, they come without handles as advertised and are Not particularly well ground or sharpened and it took me about an hour to re-grind the Vtool and the rest of the chisels to a level where they became useable. However after careful stopping they are now perfectly good tools and carve well.So be prepared for a little work, but it is worth the effort and very cheap too.I added some handles using a cut down wooden spoon and epoxy resin.

Excellent value for money
Dont be put off by the negative reviews, these are very good value for the money paid. A lot of carving tools have handles that are useless. These allow you to make the handles exactly how you want them to be, either for hand use, or to be used with a mallet. Also they will need to be sharpened which is a good thing because then you can sharpen them how you want them to be. Wood carving and turning tools have to be constantly sharpened so even if they did come perfectly honed they wouldnt stay that way very long. Learning to sharpen your tools is part of the skills involved in being a wood carver.

Ideal for hand carving
Great for hand carving although required sharpening but this is no big deal given the fantastic price

Great value
Just the job - I will be making the handles next week but I have honed the blades and the steel holds a good edge.
