Jinhao 8802 Fountain Pen with Ink Refill Converter & Pen Pouch Deep Sea Bright Pearl Shell Executive Writing Signature Calligraphy Pens Set for Universal Cartridge

The media could not be loaded. I bought this pen 2 weeks ago so i added have had proper use of it. During these 2 weeks I have used it for college work so here’s my honest review:Pros:+ Design was beautiful! I absolutely adored the shiny shell squares in the pen and the metal was so shiny with not a scratch, looks very respectable!+ Writing was very smooth and the converter was very easy to use with no leaks+ There is a considerable amount of weight which personally feels very balanced and nice when writing+ Isn’t very scratchy when it comes to fountain pens+ Comes in a nice pouch to keep it safe+ Cheap price for the qualityCons:- After using it for 2 weeks, the main problem I found is with the pen lid as itstarted to wear and the plastic from the lid came off. Additionally, the lid no longer stuck in place and the lid would be loose on the pen- The pen isn’t very ink efficient and I had to refill it every 5 or 7 days. I didn’t write too much in a day either but then again, this pen is a fountain pen after all- The converter after the first use has trapped air that cannot be released. Every time I fill it, there’s this air bubble at the top that I have tried to remove but it won’t... Not too much of a problem as it doesn’t effect writing!- Does NOT come with ink (but I wouldn’t say this is a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.)Overall, there are a few minor problems but I would definitely get this pen because the quality in which it writes outweighs the cons.[If my review and photos were useful, don’t forget to rate me as “helpful”, thanks!!]EDIT - 15/05/2023I wrote my review 6 years ago for my first ever fountain pen. 6 years later, I am STILL using this pen. I upped my rating to 5 stars because, since the time I bought this, I have used a plethora of fountain pens for numerous brands; from Waterman, Japanese gold-nibbed Sailors, to Mabie and Todd vintage Swans. I've been spoiling myself with fountain pens and yet, to this day, my most used fountain pen and the one I reach out to the most has been my trusty, reliable Jinhao. It never leaks, it never fails to flow, it never fails to write. Even when switching inks, this pen has handled the toughest of inks that would otherwise clog my other pens (such as oxblood, and glitter/shimmer inks - this pen has been through the wringer and it still survives). My father even managed to fix the lid issue I video'ed with a little bit of superglue. I cannot fault this pen. This pen has carried me throughout my beloved years of college and now it is carrying me through my final years of a Physics degree. It is honestly, my most beloved pen and it's bizarre to me that it's still the same price 6 years later! So if anyone is on the fence about buying it, for £15, you really don't have much to loose. If you make sure to give it a clean now and then, trust me, it WILL last you. 6 years running for me and it's still going strong!!

This is a large heavy pen. When capped the balance is to the rear. I personally prefer to write with it uncapped, I find it more comfortable. There is very little flex in the nib unless you press hard into the paper so I would say no flex. I clean these pens prior to use with an alcohol wipe and charge the ink chamber with a soap solution and I find the ink flow very smooth and a little on the dry side. It gives a very nice fine line with little bleed onto the paper. This is a very nice pen to write with and these jinhao pens are among my favourites to use. For the price it is excellent value

This is a beautiful pen. I used some French ink I had on hand and it drew up into the ink chamber smoothly and without mess. My only criticism is the nib is a little scratchy, but as I use the pen it seems to be becoming a little smoother. Maybe it just needed a break in period. The pen has a nice feel and weight to it, and the mother of pearl inserts are really lovely. Note that you won't get any cartridges with this pen, so give bottled ink a try because the ink chamber works a lot better than most inexpensive pens.

Although I am reviewing the 8802 pen my comments equally apply to the other Jinhao fountain pens.I am making comparison with much more expensive Parker and Lamy pens. Expecting to find something cheap and nasty. Instead I was surprised by the feel of the pen when I unpacked it. I need a heavier pen to write with in order for my scribble to be legible.It is a very smooth writer, the ink flow being good. I have the medium nib which suits well a heavy hand. The nib is of standard size and may be easily changed.The looks...quality.The price...ridiculous.So go ahead and buy while the prices are so low.

This pen is beautiful, there is no real denying that and it writes beautifully and therein lies the issue that I have with it. I use fountain pens for my work and every other pen I use works exactly the same way, you fill the pen up with ink and write away until the converter runs out of ink, you fill it up and away you go. Not with this pen. The ink doesn't seem to flow freely from the converter to the nib so it will "run out" of ink every couple of lines. To get around it I have to force ink into the nib before it will flow freely again. My feedback from the Company who supplied it was a little unhelpful also but for the price I'm not going to be too disappointed.

Fountain pen was presented in a lovely velvety little bag. It feels like a really sturdy pen with a little bit of weight, pretty design and comfortable to write with.I am trying to use as little single use plastic as possible, so the thing I like most of all is that this pen has a built in converter. This means no plastic cartridges to be thrown away into landfill! I can buy a bottle of ink which will last for ages and refill the pen as needed.I've been using my pen for a while now and it writes beautifully!

The pen we received didn't work. Wrote to the seller who then sent us list of things to do to make the pen work, including running a razer blade down the tip of the pen! We tried the suggested steps but still could not get the pen to work. By that time, the seller did not respond to our request for a refund.

The pen is absolutely gorgeous with a lovely weight to it.Unfortunately it does not write well. I have tried it with different inks but the ink just doesn't flow so the pen is scratchy to write with and I ended up picking up a biro to write my notes with as I got impatient with how long it was taking me to write with this pen. I have several fountain pens and much prefer to write with them as the ink flows and you write much faster.It might be ok for a special occasion where you have to sign something and want a pretty pen for the event but no good as a everyday pen.

Llegó en el tiempo estipulado, perfectamente embalsada.Todo el contenido corresponde con el material ofrecido.Es bellísima, metálica, plumin de acero inoxidable, grosor F (perfecto para escribir sobre cualquier calidad de papel) y escribe perfectamente con cualquier tinta.Altamente recomendable.

Sehr schönes Schreibgeraet. Der Füller 🖋 hat 12 Perlmut Intasien ob diese echt sind kann ich nicht beurteilen aber sie wirken so als würden sie echt sein, der Füller 🖋 liegt ausgezeichnet in der Hand habe ihn heute erhalten binn derzeit noch am einschreiben er kratzt noch ein wenig ich denke das wird sich in wenigen Tagen gelegt haben ansonsten werde ich eine Ersatzfeder beim Händler anfragen dieser ist nämlich sehr entgegenkomment und Antwortet auf ein Mail sehr schnell und freundlich da fühle ich mich gut aufgehoben. Nun möchte ich euch gerne ein paar Infos zu diesem Füller 🖋 geben. Der Füller wiegt ca 40,4 gr inkl. Der Kappe, ohne der Kappe ca 27,2 gr, die Kappe alleine wiegt ca 13.1 gr. Die Größe des Fullers im geschlossenen zustand ist ca 13,5 cm, Ohne der Kappe hat er ca 12,3 cm, mit hinten aufgesteckter Kappe hat er ca 16 cm Durchmesser hab ich mit ca 13mm gemessen ich hoffe euch mit diesen Infos für Ihre Kaufentscheidung geholfen zu haben. Ich kann diese 🖋 gerne empfehlen der Preis ist heiß er schaut teuer aus Elegant wirklich schön liebe Grüße aus dem Salzburg

Ho ordinato il prodotto sabato per averlo già in mano lunedì... inutile dire che sono rimasta alquanto colpita dalla velocità e puntualità della consegna. Passiamo al prodotto in quanto tale.Confezione assolutamente minimale consistente in uno spartano cartoccio di plastica con bolle antiurto a sua volta contenuto nel canonico imballo di cartone. Non mi attendevo nulla di diverso, considerato anche le penne (ne ho ordinate due) sono giunte perfettamente integre.Estetica: davvero notevole. La penna è di forme piuttosto essenziali, di colore nero su cui spiccano sul fusto meravigliosi inserti in madreperla dai colori cangianti fissati ed inglobati in una matrice resinosa cristallina. Non sono nelle condizioni di fare una valutazione sulla "qualità" di tali applicazioni ma sono davvero una magnificenza ed anche il lavoro di inclusione e le finiture sono di dettaglio.Ho provato ed inchiostrarla ed usarla: nulla da eccepire, il pennino funziona bene, rigido, con un tratto fine e continuo che non mostra un "carattere" particolare ma fa bene il suo lavoro che è quello, appunto, di scrivere.Sono molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto e mi sento di consigliarlo.

El acabado de la pluma es muy bonito y da una sensación de calidad. La escritura es muy suave y fluida. Es mi primera Jinhao y la verdad es que me impresionó gratamente.
