The Power Of Steam
A great machine easy to set up and it didn’t take hardly anytime to heat up , great that you can top up as you go. Great in kitchens and bathrooms . You can simply refresh any room in the house by simply spraying the steam in the air . Powerful and efficient cleaning . Stop using all those cleaning products and destroy bacteria with the power of steam

Reliable product, the better one in its category
I used to own the previous version of the polti steam cleaner which i loved using. As a matter of fact my cleaning lady loved it as well, and therefore took the steam cleaner without my knowledge when she left her job, so i just purchased a new one. I use it mainly for periodically upholstery cleaning. I once had a visitor wearing a dark blue jeans suit which completely smudged my light grey linnen sofa. My steamer removed the stains just like that. No rubbing and no additional products used. I'm hoping that my new polti will satisfy me as well.

Fantastic machine but the carpet attachment is poor.
I have just bought the 85 flex Polti Steam cleaner to replace an old unit that failed. This is the third Polti Vaporetto steamer that I have had and as far as the machine goes it is the best. The units do not seem to last too long; the last lasting about five years but that may be due to very hard water in the area. I have one major criticism with this latest model the carpet cleaning attachment is completely useless as there is no brush and the cloth hardly touches the carpet due to the silly plastic holder. The carpet attachment is also not stable and collapses easily. Fortunately for me, the old carpet cleaning attachment fits the new machine. I do not know if it is possible to buy an old style carpet cleaning brush separately but if you can, this is highly recommended. The new unit is smaller and lighter than my old model and the pressure seems higher which is good. The 85 flex model that I bought has the hose permanently connected to the body rather than the clip in version that I had before. I am extremely worried that with wear and tear this fixed hose will not last. But we will see.The more expensive 95 model does have the plug in hose and if I had realised that earlier I would probably have gone for the more expensive unit.Having said all of the above the Polti steamer is a fantastic piece of kit that I would not be without. It would be good to have some comments from Polti.

Superior to the Karcher S3
I'm a long time user of steam cleaners and currently have the Karcher S3 with numerous attachments.I had several concerns about moving to Polti, but as they are recommended by the Allergy Foundation, I made the leap.1. There is a massive difference between a 3.5 bar and 4.5 bar steamer, it's like the difference between day and night.2. The Polti steam is basically dry and almost cool. It's very differnt from the the Karcher, but that could be the difference in pressure output.3. The floor nozzle is called flexi and it's amazing. It goes under chairs, under tv cabinets, under display cabinets and bookcases, where the Karcher can't get. It's simply brillant design at work.4. The poles and attachments have a white button. One way is to open, slide on the attachment and slide the white button back to lock in place.5. The cable is short on both manufacturers, and i have no idea why. Neither manufacturer give you a means to wind away the cable.6. Both can be constantly refilled, so you don't have to stop.7. The karcher S3 heats up in 30 seconds.. the Polti takes 6 minutes. However, I had to heat the Karcher near the kitchen sink to release the first half a pint of water that dribbles out before its starts to steam. You have to be near a sink, bathroom or front door, to release the fluid, without soaking the floor. If you have dust mite allergies etc, then the Allergy foundation recommends the Polti. The Karcher has been fine for years, but the lower steam 3.5 bar isn't something that you'd go back to after using the 4.5 bar dry steam. The Karcher elasticated towels for the handtool fit the polti, so I'm reusing them on the Polti.

Didnt work as I expected
Instructions are minimum, you are recommended to watch the videos but there isn't one for this item.Mine must have been faulty or something was wrong with it. On minimum it just didn't work, nothing, no steam. Even though that is the recommendation level of steam for sofa, mattresses and curtains. When I put it on higher it started to spit out steam and hot water. Returning it as I was not impressed.Amazon really messed me around with the return on this, not impressed with their rubbish customer care

Ran out of steam, literally!
I brought this machine in May 18. Does an ok job. This is my third steamer. My first which was the best was a Morphy Richards Grime Buster, after than packed up I brought a less powerful Morphy Richards which was pretty poor and decided to leak everywhere.. So I opted for this one the third time around. There is plenty of steam and it's fine for average cleaning but is not as powerful as the original Grime Buster. After using it today after approx 6 times over the last 18 months, it has just stopped producing steam so seems to have given up the ghost. Will try to get it working tomorrow but if all else fails I will be looking at getting a replacement/refund as it's still under warranty.
