Nothing was brilliant

Firstly, please ignore all the 1 star reviews, moaning about the lack of a hat. A TIPPET is not a hat but rather an extra layer that, on a coat or cape, goes around the shoulders. In some other garments, like a skirt, it may go around the waist. I know this because I GOOGLED it, because I didn't know what a TIPPET was either. However, anyone who knows anything about Sherlock Holmes knows that he wore a DEERSTALKER hat. The model in the picture is wearing a DEERSTALKER and smoking a FAKE pipe just for illustration purposes. I find it hard to believe that anyone would order this item, without first checking what was included. Definitely no DEERSTALKER mentioned in the description, so it's very unfair to give a one-star review for not reading the blub properly.Now to the product itself. I agree with some reviewers that the garment is very overpriced. In fact, looking at it now, a price of £10 to £15 would be more appropriate than the £23 I paid. My son, however is a TA at a Junior School and as World Book Day was imminent, he was EXPECTED to dress up and he had his heart set on Sherlock Holmes, I plumped for this. It was actually perfect for what he needed as it meant he had free movement and was not wrapped in a heavy coat all day in the classroom to 'stay in character'. I have not had any issues with trailing threads or bad stitching, like other reviewers, although I would admit that a couple of washes now have still failed to remove the packing creases. The material is thick polyester but is not like a heavy wool cape. The collar sits nicely and it ties at the front. Ours IS grey and my son wore a shirt with bow-tie, a waistcoat and a pair of grey suit trousers under the cape. An actual DEERSTALKER, fake pipe and magnifying glass (bought separately for a tenner) finished the look.He hammed it up all day, annoying and amusing the kids in equal measure by shouting 'Elementary, my dear .............' when they got anything right and exclaiming 'The game's afoot' when they went out at breaktime. I am sure a good time was had by all (especially himself).In conclusion, I do recommend this product but, unlike us, try to get it early and not pay a premium because it's World Book Day or Halloween.

Too small my son was upset as he looked silly in it also the hat was too small

Pricey for a cape that is not the best quality 😕Stupidity thought tippet meant the hat as well then it would of been a decent buy 🙈For fancy dress purposes so will make use of it ! for a couple of occasions which will probably in time make it worth the money with added extras 🤔Just being honest think it's expensive for what u get and pretty much plain and dull nowt special if you like 😪

In the discription it says "cape grey heavy fabric". The cape it not even slightly grey and if you think that is heavy fabric then you must be either and idiote who dosnt know the differance between heavy and light, or a singular ant trying to carry the whole thing on your own.

All you get is the cape. Which to be fair is clearly written in the description of the product and I should’ve read it more clearly. But the quality of the cape is just poor all over.

Beau manteau mais certaine couture n'ont pas tenu et le manteau était décousu par endroit !Mais ca reste une belle pièce

Although it is pleasant to the eye, the inside material is cheap and comes off easily. If to be worn only at some parties, is worth to buy.
