waste of money does not help at all

I actually learned a lot about using my iPad Pro from this book. Some things that Apple’s own materials are vague about, cryptic indeed, Tom Rudderham makes clear. So why only 3 stars?The “Guide” is also plagued by a lot of typos; sometimes they even obscure what is meant. Perhaps in a misguided effort to keep the cost down, the entire book is in black and white. Even where color photographs and line drawings would be far more useful, they aren’t used. Also, the black and white pictures are printed about as well as those in newspapers. This particularly diminishes the utility of the section on the use of the iPad’s built-in cameras.IPadOS 13 was released in fall of 2019, which made the “Updated for 2019!” symbol on the cover just a bit obsolete for much of the book’s life. The cover does say it’s for iOS 12, so perhaps that’s forgivable.

I am new to using an IPad and if I get stuck I can look up how to do what I want to and not bug my sons!I am learning more this way too. Give this a try so you can do everything you want to all by yourself!

The guide is a good place to start and once you've gone through it testing things on your iPad Pro you'll seldom need it again. It's an awfully big book to keep at hand unless you've more desk space than I have.

I recently received an Apple 12.9 IPad Pro. Having used a mini iPad for years, I knew the new, larger version had many more capabilities. This manual covers every aspect of the iPad and is a valuable tool for me. I’m glad I purchased this and refer to it often.

In my opinion, one of the best ways to help someone understand technical information Is by writing It along with pictures showing what just has been explained. This book does that in a very well organized and common sense manner. Something many technically oriented people have difficulty accomplishing. If you want to quickly and easily understand your iPad Pro this is your book.

Covered most of the subjects maybe missed a few.

For all of us limited computer whizzes. This book is a must.

A good all-round introduction. Easy to follow and arranged in an order that familiarises you with the basic features quickly. You won't find any really advanced stuff, but you will feel very comfortable and proficient in the use of your ipad pro after reading this book

I ordered one with the advertised 2019 update on the cover, but the copy sent to me does not have the 2019 update. Nevertheless, it does cover a range of topics and is therefore a useful guide, especially if you are new to an iPad., However, I do expect a far more detailed guide to be available in the coming months.

Insufficient detail, very basic. Would suit someone who had not used an I Pad before. Many of the benefits of the I Pad Pro are not covered.

Good resource but not if you’re already pretty proficient.
