I agree that the mesh hole is a bit small, but can be pushed through the bodum columbia press plunger without damaging it. You need a stainless steel nut and washer to thread onto the plunger shaft first. Then slide up the pieces as shown and screw in. Use the stainless steel nut to tighten at the height you prefer and presto, you now have an adjustable bodum plunger. It works better than the original silicone plunger which goes bad fairly quickly and is easier to plunge in my opinion. Happy grounds mean happy sounds! MMMMMmmm goood!

Didn’t actually fit a French press, and the parts didn’t even fit together!

I must have a weird size French press, this is the second set of screens I purchased, first was too big, second too small. I feel like Goldilocks. Small one works, but grounds wind up in the coffee.

I’ve had my French press for about a year and a half and the filter was getting stained so I decided to get a new one. The replacement is better than the original. The actual little filters have a metal ring around the inner hole and it is so much better than the ones that came with my press I highly recommend these.

Does the job! I was ready to buy a whole new press, but this does the job, nicely!

I bought this to replace my original filter. Initially, I thought I just bought the wrong one. I mixed and matched and thought it was just not fitting my French press but after several weeks, I decided to play around with it, the bottom plate is too wide where it screws on. Not just for my French press, but the screens it came with don’t even fit, the other part doesn’t even fit. It not compatible with itself.

The bottom piece does not thread through the screens or screw on properly. Terrible product!
