Fantastic item , used them to secure a clothing rail which is now up and fitted heavy duty as it stands , hold its load using these screws and rawl plugs .I have always pre drilled a hole when I use these types of fittings, it helps it fit more snug and not come away from the wall and reject.

I ordered these self drilling wall plugs to put up shelving in one of my roomsI'm the end I decided not to use them for shelving and used them for something lighter instead.Found it easier enough to screw into my wall and then screw the small screw into it and then used it to hang a couple of extension plugs on to my wall.

Easy to use

I use this type of fixing to hang pictures, mirrors etc. all of the time in my home as the walls are made of plasterboard. I find them to be easy to use and suitably secure for most purposes but would not use them for heavier duty items such as shelves that are required to hold heavier items. My issue with this set is that the screws provided are longer than the ones I usually use. If the fixing is behind a picture frame or similar the protruding screw means that the picture or other item that I an putting up is held further away from the wall than I would like.
