So far so good
[Sorry - I know it comes under the Shoei Neotec helmet review but it is for a Schuberth C3Pro]After initial reservations on this unit I am actually liking the ability to be able to communicate with my pillion as we travel. Firstly, I bought two of these units to fit the Schuberth C3 pro helmets, that myself and good lady just recently bought. They take a bit of tweaking to get right. The speakers are best packed out with foam pads that are supplied, so that they are closer to your ears. I don't find them the best speakers in the world but they serve a purpose. My wife had serious problems with the rear of the helmet digging into the back of her head which was a bit worrying. At first, after reading reviews on the Sena unit sticking too far out from some riders helmets, we thought it was the Sena which was fouling her head. Eventually we found that it was the Schuberth bluetooth antenna that was sticking out from underneath the lining. Reposition and try again. Seems to be fine now.The unit on my helmet fits fine. The only negative I would say I have is that the sound balance between the left and right speakers is not perfect. I can hear the right speaker easier than the left. That may mean a bit more tweaking for the left speaker. We'll see.Connection to phone and GPS is good. Sound from GPS is louder than I would ilke. Volume needs to be turned down on the helmet side for GPS but that makes the voice communication a bit too quiet. Compromise needed maybe.Communication was helped by removing the foam covers from the microphones. You can also set up voice communication to initiate through sound which when finished will turn off and save battery life. Unfortunately, you need to really shout to get it to work. You can then have a conversation as normal. After about ten seconds of quiet it will switch off again. Again, shout to get it to work again. Stuff that. I ended up leaving the voice comms switched on constantly, which you can set-up fairly easily. (With the foam covers on the microphone I would get a constant wind noise from my partners unit but now its fine without the covers on)Battery life so far seems to be pretty good in both headsets and remote control. From initial purchase and a full charge, I reckon they have been used for around 9-10 hours and battery life is showing 75%. Dont know how accurate that is or how fast it will drain now but so far so good.Remote control I cannot fit on my handlebars - gets in the way of my switch cluster so I have got it fitted around the stem of the GPS stalk at the moment. (I have two remotes so may strip one and fit the internals to something a bit more practical to use). Awkward to use but what the heck.Don't know what the phone communication is like yet but playing music through the phone and speakers is crap. Wouldn't normally have music playing whilst I am riding but I thought I needed to try it. It sounds okay while sitting at rest but is no use while moving. Its my first foray into rider communication systems and to be fair it improves the rider and passenger experience no end. I am not sure if there would be a better system out there but this one does what it needs to do and I can live with it.

A great intercom, Univeral Intercom aspect is flawed though.
Bought as I now have a bike with even less underseat storage than my previous one so the Autocom is now history. Have been sceptical of Bluetooth comms previously as my Autocom worked so well and was ultimately reliable over many years of use. They've always struck me as somewhat fragile and exposed with reliance on batteries.; Connectivity between units mean all in your riding group require the same brand and the group size is limited. Favouring Autocom for being bike powered and connected to a PMR radio enabling large groups of riders over decent range when combined with an external antenna.Still getting used to my new 10U but I'm impressed so far.The fact that it's all enclosed within the shell of the helmet removes the fragility issue as well as fears on extra wind noise and water ingress into the electronics.I purchased a Sena SR10 which works well with my PMR radio so now I have the best of both worlds should I need it.My regular touring buddy was so impressed that he bought a 10U as well so we now have great comms over line of sight for about 1/2 to 3/4 mile.Switching between my sat nav, the Sena SR10i-01 Bluetooth Two-way Radio Adapter (connected to my PMR radio) and bike-to-bike Bluetooth is all relatively automatic. Not quite a good as Autocom but close enough. The headphones work well but I needed to change the way they mounted in my Shoei GT Air as they were just a bit too far from my ear. Worked fine at low speed but for best results as speed increases need to be 'kissing' my ear, which they weren't, for best performance. Adding double self adhesive Velco to both the back of the ear pieces (which neatly pop out of the holders), the speaker wells in the helmet and some thin foam (both sides) in the right order provided the close fit I was looking for. Volume and usable speed is now close to that of my old Autocom headset. The mic works well and is nicely unobtrusive. My friend lost the foam wind cover for his and it doesn't seem to have caused much, if any, perceivable difference. The handlebar remote works well and the battery lasts a long time, weeks even. The headset battery seems so far to last for a day of riding though the last time out I had forgotten to recharge it and it ran out part way though the ride. Get to get used to putting it on charge. The app is useful for setting the unit up.Not so good is the Universal Intercom feature. This was the 'Rosetta Stone' I was looking for but was disappointed to find that whilst it would connect to an Interphone F4 unit both were then locked to bike to bike comms. The only way to hear my sat nav was for the F4 to be switched off entirely. So, it works but TBH it's not as practical as it appears,I would recommend this product so long as you're not expecting great things from the Univeral Intercom feature. Due to this only 4 stars.
