Aye, it's grand!
My hubby & I visited Ireland last year. We traveled about 75% around the coastal regions of the island enjoying great beauty, food and people all along the way. When we returned home I wanted to recapture some of those great memories with food. This book fit the bill. Every recipe I've tried so far has tasted very authentic to what we experienced during our visit. We especially enjoyed the Seafood Chowders and Brown Breads readily available just about everywhere we visited. Recipes for both are included in this book and taste just like the "real thing".You don't have to be a wiz in the kitchen to prepare these delicious recipes and substitution recommendations are included for those that can't get their hands on authentic ingredients.I highly recommend you add this book to your recipe collection! Give it a whirl before St. Patty's Day.

Love the recipes
Love the recipes. Had purchased before and book was damaged so had to have a new onion. The Shepard pie recipe is our favorite

Great recipes and an easy to search format.
I will cook for myself rather than starve. So this purchase was a matter of survival. What a nice surprise! Irish pub fare is simple good food (comfort food for many) and the accompanying text is great fun to read and get more background on the culture that produced these recipes. And, Yes I have tested several as a means of survival.

Great and easy recipes
Great and easy recipes. Wish it had a photo of each recipe so I knew what they were supposed to look like. Think something is off for the one stew recipe. Came out wrong each time I've tried it. Highly recommend the fish & chips and lamp chops recipes.

Incredible recipes and information!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book for the recipes and the information about traveling in Ireland. I have bookmarked 42 recipes to make in all categories. This appears to be a very usable recipe book (when I find a store for the Irish sausages, ham, bacon and cheeses).

Oh yes! This one takes you back there.
Take my word for this. I know enough about Irish pub cooking to know my way around a Dublin coddle and a plate of scones. This book works. I haven't sampled all the recipes but enough of them to recommend this book highly

Irish cooking?
Sorry but I find it difficult to accept that this is Irish cooking. Some of the recipes call for 'canned low sodium chicken or beef broth ' to be added. I'm Irish and I've never heard of this.

Irish Pub Cook Book
The book is very well laid out and easy to follow ~ excellent receipts through-out, those tried are very tasty and Paddy Burkes Pepper Soup comes to mind being especially delicious served with a large slice of Soda Bread. Some of the ingredients listed as in 'Half and Half' are not readily known, a quick check on the internet solved this problem.
