My decision to purchase these was very much based on the other reviews and I have to say these are outstanding. I wanted some extra security for the front of the house one for the driveway and one for the front door but being these were battery and not mains I felt this would be a punt.. That said I am not dissapointed, just one of these is sufficient for our front porch and likewise for the driveway/back gate. It says 10 minutes to install and I have to say its esactly that although bare in mind you will need to drill three holes to secure the base. I watched the video from the seller of these and I am convinced there brighter than what the video shows. Tested them for the first time last night and again I am so pleased a real bargain at £50 including the batteries, no electrician needed just a few minutes to install yourself and if as per the packaging swap the batteries once per year.Almost 2 Years on and they are both working as good as the first day I installed them same batteries as well so in my opinion an awesome product.Update April 2020Still using original batteries and as good and bright as the first day i started using them also on a side note these are the perfect addition to a home security set up as i have since installed ring security with cameras. I have an open driveway to my house and these lights have helped keep my house and my family secure.Update 2024Its amazing to have purchased a product in 2017 and its still running like new and on its first set of batteries.

So far they have been doing very well. From May to Sept 2023, I have not yet had to change any batteries. Also, they have not yet started to dim using Duracell Plus D Batteries. I would say however, that in the long run, it is best to go with rechargeable batteries. They turn on as soon as I step out of the door, or when anybody walks in past the front gate. They give some extra light in dark places.

Very happy with these lights, easy to install, gives off a wide range of light and they have endured two heavy rain storms without a sign of any water ingress. Only one slight disappointment is light doesn’t stay on very long.

I have had these for over 4 years and they are still going strong. Batteries have lasted approx 18 months with both lights in a high traffic area. Really impressed with these. Easy to install too.

Admittedly I've only put these up yesterday, but having read the mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of brightness and reliability.However, have been absolutely delighted with the ease of installing, the brightness (with new batteries) and the motion sensors so far.I've uploaded two photos, both taken on an iPhone with the flash turned off, so the only light is coming from each Mr Beams unit.I suspect we will have to change the batteries over fairly regularly, due to daily traffic going past and setting them off once dark, but to be honest, that's a small price to pay for having lighting in the areas it now illuminates.Very impressed and I never write Amazon reviews but in this instance I felt it was due.

No mains connection required or reliance on solar charging, these battery powered PIR lights have worked well to illuminate a dark corner of the garden. Happy with their performance so far, let’s hope they last a fee years.

Don't write reviews but this product really impressed. Bought 4 of these over two years ago to light walk areas in the back garden and side of the house and they worked great. Not as bright as mains powered light obviously but perfect for lighting areas when you approach, particularly in winter with limited hours of daylight. I've only just replaced the D Cell batteries in the four, so that's over two years of battery life, admit they mainly get used in winter but, for being triggered at least 4 or 5 times a night over at least 2 winter's use before replacing batteries must be good. So happy, I've bought another couple to cover other areas around the house I may go.

Only had the lights for a few weeks, so true weather "proofness" is difficult to assess. They are bright enough for battery powered lights, the motion sensors are good (not perfect) but absolute perfection would cost much more!. I stuck the light bases to some strong magnets, as they were going on a metal surface & did not want to fix permanently. Good range of movement on lights. Would buy again.
