Super good quality can’t wait to use them

This is one hunk of a sand scoop. the quality is solid and it breaks down easily into three parts for storage or travel. I am not sure what I was expecting, but this far exceeded my expectations.I truly appreciate the solid feel to it and believe that it should be a long lasting addition to my treasure hunting gear.

You get what you pay for!But I knew that going in, and I also knew I could help it out!The weak spot is the really thin handle, it won’t last you a full trip to the beach. I knew I wanted to upgrade the handle with simple a trip to the hardware store. I bought a wooden broom handle and cut off the metal threaded end and sanded it down lightly to fit the pole insert.I reinforced it all with a homemade metal sleeve which I made from a old 27.2 OD bicycle seat post. Cut off about a 1/2” wide slit the length of the bracket with a cutoff wheel. Also made a horizontal slit at the top of the cut off section so the sleeve can open as much as it needs to to fit the bracket. Once the sleeve was in place I drilled out holes for the screws and butterfly nuts and boom and upgraded sand scoop handle. This next part is extra, not needed. I welded closed the top slit I made just for extra support.The wooden broom handle gives it about 10 more inches of leverage which is great!I’m happy with the result and if your slightly handy you can be too. Arrived not at as advertised, the handle is made from 2 d rings and unable to use a pole to extend the reach. The material is magnetic and so doesn't appear to be 304 stainless as this grade is not magnetic.

This scoop is PERFECT!!! I didn't get the real heavy one,, just too much weight to carry around. This thing works as well as you could ask. The handle is just right. The basket isn't too heavy, but not so light that it won't do the job. So easy to assemble. The only thing I'll add is two lock washers so I don't loose the bolts at the beach. Just a suggestion, but I think a wise one. Guys and girls I love this scoop,, especially for the price. And I did use it. I'm not telling you this while it's in the box. Everything good. 👍👍

This is my first Metal Detecting Beach Scoop. I've made 15+ hunts with the scoop prior to writing this review. The scoop is very sturdy and easy to dig up beach targets. I rise it after every trip to the beach, and no rusting.Update 11-6-2024: This scoop is good for soft sand, but not very durable in wet packed sand. The top of the scoop broke apart due to digging the hard packed sand. I made some modifications to the broken scoop, but the scoop didn't last three beach hunts with the packed sand.

Love this thing.Used it to scoop up rocks by the river.Take it to the river and able to rinse off the rocks.Now using it to separate small rocks from larger ones ,give it a couple of shakes and left with the large rocks. I would so buy this again.Its is a bit too heavy,but then you can rest and look at what rocks you have found.The long handle is great as it has become too much for me to bend over.I would recommend this for the rock hounds out there.
