Best Wrist And Thumb Splint
I use a wrist and thumb splint almost 24/7 as I have a variety of joint conditions which particularly affect my hands. I have owned 5 different wrist and thumb splints before this, two of which are NHS recommended, and one of which is made by the same company as the best-rated wrist splint on amazon. All of them pale in comparison to this one. The levels of support and compression are absolutely unmatched. The stitching and velcro does not rub anywhere, and the neoprene fabric means it feels padded and comfy. The only downsides are that it is not super breathable, and a little bulky. Iād also recommend wearing a thin wrist support glove thing underneath, which can be washed and changed daily, as the thickness of the support will make your hands sweat. However, these downsides are very minor compared to just how comfy and useful this item is.If you just have carpal tunnel and want something light and cozy to sleep in, this may not be the item for you. But if you need a strong, well-made support to wear most of the time, I would absolutely recommend this.

What you actually need to know.
Neo G cannot make a splint that fits every hand from a new born baby to the largest adult. One size fits all. Within reason. You wouldn't buy ONE any item of clothing, wear it almost 24/7 and expect it to be indestructible. This splint will go on one of the most busy, exposed and used parts of the body. Your hand. If you buy one and you like it. Buy more to interchange them. Otherwise you have unrealistic expectations.Velcro is thin and not soft like cloth. If it intersects a part of your skin depending on the one size fits all principle it might cause a little discomfort. There is a solution.I can't find the review now to say thank you. However one Amazon reviewer had the answer and I shall pass on this genius.Pair this splint with a Neo G Airflow Wrist and Thumb Support.1, It slips on underneath the splint and provides a little extra support.2, If you need to take off your splint there's still some extra support left. Like now when I'm typing on a phone.3, It provides padding underneath the splint. This removes any issues with velcro pinching or rubbing your skin. The Airflow 'glove' is like underwear for your splint. This suggestion has been a revelation. I have tendonitis called De Quervain's Tenosynovitis. For the second time now in my left wrist after my right before. The first time on my right wrists the splints I tried didn't really help much.Injections didn't work in the end and only surgery sorted it. I suffered a LOT during this period and would have given anything for relief. I didn't fancy that again on my second rodeo. This combination of the 'glove' and the splint even after 2 days has relieved and protected like never before. If eventually surgery is the route then this combo will even help then for recuperation.Everyone is different sonyou have to find a way to make a splint comfortable for your fit. This combo is a solution that is really making a difference and can be worn a lot and in comfort. De Quervain's Tenosynovitis is classed as severe pain. They aren't kidding. I've had some painful ouchies before, but this is a doozy. Finally I have some relief and can get on with my life. Really recommend giving it a try.

Good but not durable
I found this worked very well but it a) took some work to make it comfortable and b) has a limited life.Taking the comfort first, the velcro strap around the thumb had a sharp edge which I had to trim and then roll to soften it so that it did not cut in to the tender flesh at the base of my thumb. The velcro is too wide and stiff. The metal thumb splint also needed to be taken out and bent so that it did not rub on my knuckle. This took a while to bend here and there but once done, it was very comfortable. However, the splint tended to work it's way out of the slot so I had to sew the wrist end up. The stitching at the other end also came undone - another sewing job!Durability: There are 4 Velcro straps which hold the edges together and an elasticated wrist strap for general support. The elasticated strap is the best feature. The other 4 straps unfortunately only attach to the fabric and fairly quickly, that fabric gets fluffed up and then the straps do not hold very well. I did 'shave' the fluff off a couple of times which helped but ultimately, they would not hold at all well and the straps kept coming undone.I wore it for 3 months, the time it took, with all my work and care, for it to become past it's usefulness. The secret, if you can manage it, is to minimise the number of times you undo and re-fasten the Velcro straps. The product would be excellent and really worth 5 stars if the manufacturer put Velcro pads for the Velcro straps to adhere to instead of relying on the garment's fabric. This is a cost-cutting measure and effectively an in-built fail device to limit it's life.If you think you might need another at some time, then keep the metal splints, once you have them fitting comfortably, for future use.

Finally! A support that does what was intended!
Purchased this due to a long-running, intermittent wrist-pain as well as newly acquired tendon damage.Having purchased sleeve and wrist supports in the past from a variety of sellers, I was not expecting much. Previous purchases of so-called "top reviewed" supports were very disappointing - from irritating discomfort to a lack of any genuine support. This support claims to be a graded medical device... so I give this a chance. This was a very good decision. This support offers actual "REAL" support. The support glove is comfortable over longer periods of wear, doesn't cause any significant sweating. It works just like a plaster-cast... but better; there's no huge loss of mobility to fingers and it's machine washable (after removing the plastic splints, of course!)Previous velcro supports I've purchased tended to also fall-apart and fail after a relatively short period of use. This NeoG support however is clearly very well built and is much better quality!I'm very glad I made this purchase. Highly recommended.
