Simple and Clean
It arrived in perfect shape. Of three different seed starters I bought this was the easiest to use. There are no cups to fill with dirt and there are no compressed disks to soak and expand. Just drop the foam cells in. That’s it. Nice and clean. Then fill it with fluid until the bottoms of the foams cells get wet. I only used half of the foams so I just filled it up through an empty space viewing the level as I topped it off. These are the easiest of the three to transplant by far. There are only a few things to know about this system. The foams are small so your plants will be small. They may have to be transplanted earlier than other starters that are bigger. This is not a problem for me. Second, the plants may take a little longer to pop up because the holes are a little deep but all my plants did come up after a while. And third, I found when I only had ten plants left in the white foam block that the foam block would float. That’s just something to check.I like it a lot. I will be ordering replacement foam cells . It works. It’s clean. It’s simple. Good design. Two thumbs up.

Just don't squeeze the sponges too hard
I bought one of these seed starters from Amazon and an identical one from Park Seeds (Canada) and of course got the Amazon order first. I wanted to transplant multiple small starts from my AeroGarden (they put 4 seeds in each pre-planted pod, and I was supposed to discard all but one). So I used the Park Seed starter as a place to re-plant the extra starts. The Park Seed instructions say to moisten the plugs, then squeeze out excess water. Not a good idea as they will break. However, the package came with two extra plugs because they are providing good customer service or are hedging their bets.I have two small AeroGarden units with powerful grow lights. A very nice arrangement is to have the Park Seed dome sitting between the two AeroGarden units providing lights for the transplanted seedlings to grow. The dome is high, it is vented and it is lightweight so easy to move around. As I mentioned, I bought two and one is planted already. I am very pleased with this product and I'm sure I'll be growing garden starts in it for many years.Note: If you use the Park Seed Starters, just remember any grow lights you need are additional and nothing you plant with grow without them.

It's a little pricey for what it is but it does work great.
Sprouts consistently start in about a week with this system. I'm seeing about an 80% success rate which is acceptable for me, I'm just playing around with inexpensive flower seeds for our yard.I have seen comparable systems less expensive at the hardware store which is why I went with 4 stars vs 5.

Great little indoor plant starter
love this allowed me to start my veggie plants from seed indoors a easy month before planting so they were nice robust plants for this years garden... would def get one to use just keep in mind you'll need a grow light and heat mat to go with it

It works with a little extra effort
The brown, rubbery plugs have holes drilled in the top. I found that by filling in the holes with seed starter soil, after placing the seeds, I could get seeds to sprout. The vent covers on top are meant to slide but they are too tight to slide so they must be carefully lifted with a fingernail and then placed in the opposite (open/close) position.

Great for starting your winter vegetable garden!
I love the Park Seed Double-Sized Bio Dome, because the soil mess is eliminated. Just place the soil plug into the spaces and add your seeds. The Park Seed Double-Sized Bio Dome controls the air moisture too. The Park Seed Double-Size Bio Dome is sturdy and durable so water leakage is eliminated as well. The soil plugs are large enough to enable transplanting directly into your garden or planter.

Gardening made easy
I'm trying to grow some of my own veggies during the pandemic just so I can go less to the grocery store and am starting a garden on my patio, and this made starting seedlings so easy. I've never grown things from seeds, but so far I'm loving it! But I can tell I should have bought the extra set of plugs right off the bat, because this only came with 62 dirt/sponge things.

Definitely not worth $65 after tax
I ordered the 60 cell seed dome & I was sent the 40 cell see dome. Pretty disappointing as I really needed to plant my seeds this weekend & by returning this sets me back another week. I’m not sure why this item has so many favorable reviews. I was really disappointed in the quality of the product. The bottom tray is thin plastic and flimsy and the white center piece is styrofoam. Total cost was over $65 so I was expecting it to be much nicer. I can get a seed dome with all the same features and better quality at Walmart for 1/3 of the price of this one.
