Worked well, until it didn't
This compass worked perfectly well when new. I removed it from its card; just wanted for orientation while walking foreign city streets. However, the first time I dropped it was the last time it worked. So be aware of a durability issue. This may well be the case for ALL hand-held compasses, but just wanted to put it out there.

As accurate as blindfolding yourself and pointing in a random direction
It’s like a magic 8 ball. Spin it and it says South is North. Spin it again and East is North. Every 10th try or so it will point close to North.

Why bother?
All my iPhones’ compass 🧭 were not consistent so I figured buying this old fashion compass may solve some technology mystery - turned out, this were the bigger joke. DOES NOT WORK WHATSOEVER. Maybe I am a cheapie to get this cheap one … but serious it points any where as it wishes, probably should have kept it for spinning the compass on drinking game nights!

Low quality
It is more suitable for a Cub Scout to learn orienteering but I would not want to be lost in the backwoods with this low end device.

Great compasses for Scouts.
Got these for my Girl Scouts. They like them and are able to use them. They're nicer than I expected.
