d-c-fix static cling films for glass provide privacy and decoration to overlooked windows and doors. The film uses static cling technology, eliminating the need for adhesive, making it incredibly easy to apply. Available in a wide range of designs, from plain opaque, to leaf, floral and bird designs, as well as beautiful colourful stained glass effects, d-c-fix static cling films are a much cheaper alternative to frosted or etched glass. If fading carpets and soft furnishings are a problem, the 95% UV protection will help prevent sunlight damage and help reduce glare whilst still allowing light to shine through. How To Apply: All you need for application is a clean, flat glass surface, scissors, pencil, ruler, squeegee and water spray bottle. Step 1: Measure the area and cut the film to size allowing a 2mm gap all around each edge of the area you are covering. Step 2: Spray the glass surface with plenty of water. Step 3: Remove the backing paper and apply the static side of the film to the glass. Use the squeegee to push excess water out to the edges. Allow to dry. To remove, simply peel away. Tip! The film can be re-used by simply following the above steps once more. d-c-fix static cling films can be used for windows, glass doors, conservatories and shower cubicles. Give it a go, you'll see how quick and easy it is to achieve a whole new look in a matter of minutes.

Does the job
Bought this to stop my dogs barking at the patio doors and it worked. Shame the buggers now go upstairs onto my bed and bark out of that window 😩It’s an absolute nightmare to put on tho....mine is full of bubbles. I took my time and used a bank card to wipe it smooth but still had bubbles.Too lazy to take it off and try again.Someone did suggest I might not have used enough water.

Loving the privacy! Lets in light still
If you have a big window, get a friend to help! I managed to install by myself, but it was a bit of a wrestle with the film. Once you’ve installed and used a credit card to smooth the bubbles to the surface and let it dry, use a needle to pop any pesky ones that reappear that you can’t get rid of.

Some kind of scraper would be good to use on the windows first and it did ...
Works very well. However, it took me ages to get the bubbles out and in the end I gave up with some of them. However, after it dried out a the bubbles disappeared.Preparation of window is key and I thought mine were really clean but you can see that there are some bits trapped between the glass and the film. Some kind of scraper would be good to use on the windows first and it did seem that the more water/washing up liquid the better.

Easy to get good finish
Worked perfectly. Easy to apply giving a professional finish and removed well with no residue. Good value, pretty heavy duty

Okay
Does the job, without adhesion, should stick with water and it doesn't. Would never buy again

Easy to put in place and easy to remove
Used it on the top windows in the conservatory. To stop the Sun shining directly onto my face. It has been up now for almost a year and works very well. It was easy to cut to size and easy to put in place. Bought a second round and used it in my sons flat instead of net curtains

it looked horrible so i took it off
i followed the instructions to the letter, but a day or two later i could see patches of air being trapped between glass and film, it looked horrible so i took it off. The effect achieved was nothing like what's pictured.
