I am purchasing one of these for myself, as well. But I had purchased one for my daughter, who is trendy and loves higher end items. She also loves the 1920s era. I was actually looking for a satin dressing robe for her, and this popped up in my search. The material is not exactly silky, but it’s not uncomfortable, by any means. It is just a very elegant looking gown/robe, whatever you wish to use it as. It comes with an eye hook and a beautiful bling clasp, and it looks so elegant on. I tried hers on, and it’s flowy, and is very comfortable. Just a really cool find. I only wish it was a USA product, or that I could find them produced here.

Perfect for a 1920s costume party! Comfortable, soft and warm. The clasp was more decorative so I did safety pin it together to be safe!

I should have sized down bc it was too big and the closure would unhook sometimes without me feeling it. If I had more time I could have exchanged it.I gave it 1 star off bc I expected the two front panels to meet almost touching on the center front. Instead there was about a 2 inch gap. I had to make sure I was “in” it all night ;) If I would have pinned it closed, the hook closure sat funny & came undone so I just chose a cute bra and high waisted tights to wear under.Also keep in mind that the sleeves are open & will show side bra when you raise your arms.Fabric holds creases from packing & needs to be steamed. (I didn’t have one)Quality was good and this is a versatile piece.

Got the turquoise satin, wanting to wear to a 20s party. Gorgeous color! As most reviewers mention, the clasp and hook & eye will need to be heavily fortified to wear in public and I’ll need a slip or something. I’m 5’1.5” and it almost drags on the floor. I’m curvy but it’s got a LOT of fabric. I thought it would be slightly more structured. I’m on the fence. Need to iron it and try it on again with shapewear.ETA: kept it! I wore it and got a ton of compliments. Wore a simple slip underneath and safety pinned it closed. I got a ton of compliments probably because it was different than the other dresses. The clasp broke already. Wired it closed.

I wore this for a NYE Great Gatsby party and absolutely loved it. The fabric is heavy and so soft, it felt great on my skin. The clasp doesn't hold so I permanently closed it with pliers. This was not a difficult alteration. Ladies, seriously, just be resourceful and pinch the metal closed a little. Since it is a robe style dress it was very open in the front so I sewed 3 additional tiny hook and eye clasps into the inside. It worked perfectly and I had ZERO wardrobe malfunctions. I wore silicon sticky bra and a black slimming half slip. I got more compliments on this dress than anything in my entire life. It really stood out amongst the sequined flapper dresses and made me feel like an old Hollywood icon. I'm currently looking for other excuses to wear it!

This is definitely not a one size item. It fits more so a Large/Extra Large. The color and fabric feel is beautiful but can’t get past the fact that it smells like cigarettes. Got today and immediately returning

I thought I was purchasing a dress-like gown. This looked more like a judge or graduation gown. It fit nothing like the original picture. It's only held together by a clasp that doesn't stay latched, with a completely opening everywhere else. I purchased for a NYE 1920s party and was highly disappointed. Had to purchase another outfit that luckily came in time.

I bought the gown for a 20’s themed, work party.The fit and draping were perfect. I’m 5,2” and average build (sz10). The back was quite long, so I wore high heels to barely clear the floor.Only complaint would be the clasp came undone multiple times throughout the evening. This was difficult to fix with gloves on. Seeing as I’m keeping the dress, I will find a way to modify it so the hook stays closed. Something to consider if purchasing.Overall very, very pleased.
