I received a copy of this book from @fallencrestcrew but this is my honest review.Sawyer and Kennedy meet while being on their friendâs wedding as bridesmaids and groomsmen. She was supposed to be paired with her boyfriend, but the night before she found him in a rather compromising position, and they are not longer together. So they end up sat down together and getting to know each other, Kennedy straight âFriend zoned himâ because Sawyer is a playboy, a heartthrob and her heart was just broken. But this friendship carries on for years. Even though in the beginning they donât live in the same place, they ended up being best friends.Until one day Sawyer breaks the new to Kennedy he is moving teams, in the same city she lives. In his plan he is trying to convince Kennedy they are made for each other, soulmates, KISMET. This playboy wants to be her boyfriend. And dear lord he is the sweetest guy ever. He had me swooning and blushing! But Kennedy is not fully convinced, and she makes him work for it, to show her he really wants it. Not only getting in her pants. And plus, her insecurities of loosing her best friend if they never work out were a major part of why at first she wasnât convinced. Even though she has a major crush on him too. This book was everything! Some angst, spicyđśď¸ (Sawyer has a filthy mouthđĽľ), barely ow drama, and the most important HEA!!â¨What are you waiting for? Wow! This book!
4.5 âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸Let me tell you how much I LOVED this book!!I usually wouldn't go for a sports romance but when I was given this ARC I thought it was time to give it a go and WOW am I glad that I did.The banter in this book is one of the top reasons I love it so much, it reminds me of my own relationship. I love when I can see how comfy two people are together when they act so naturally around eachother no matter what. The writing is wonderful! I enjoyed every page. The inner thoughts, the dialogue, descriptions, everything. There isn't a bad thing I can say about how it's written. There isn't a character in here that I don't like, or if I do, I'm meant to. They are wonderful, all of them and I'm really happy I could actually see the intertwining relationships and friendships between all of them, it honestly brought me so much joy seeing that Kennedy had good friends that care so much about her.One thing I wanted a bit more of is longer sex scenes, honestly. That would've been the icing on the cake for me, but it doesn't make it worse to read just because of this. The scenes alone are enjoyable, I just want more of it!Overall even if you're not into sports romance I recommend this wholeheartedly, I loved every single page and couldn't wait to read more.ARC given to me by @fallencrestcrew on Instagram and reviewed voluntarily by me.

Cute and fluffy NFL/Broadway romance
This is my first sports romance book and I was pleasantly surprised, it wasn't too heavy on NFL and more the social events and obviously the super bowl. The story is centers around Kennedy and Sawyer who are friends and we watch as their friendship blossoms into a relationship. It's a cute and fluffy friends to lover with a lot of fluff between the main characters and some spicy scenes. Sawyer does bless us with a little dirty talk and nothing too outrageous.I found the plot manages to represent how a true relationship goes through good times and bad times. This was nice as I didn't feel like anything was too unrealistic. The spice in the book is cute and easy to read. In fact I found the whole book easy to read.My only bad point was that Sawyer would say he'd spank Kennedy a few times and this then never played out. But that's my dark romance reading self coming out and wanting to read and have it displayed within the story. This has indeed inspired myself to read more sports romances.

Great debut
This is a really well written friends to lovers / sports book. I really liked that it was set over a long time period and the friendship was established. The teaser in the final paragraph of a potential next book was out of left field!.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sports Romance
This book starts off with Sawyer escorting Kennedy as a bridesmaid after she caught her boyfriend cheating on her the night before the wedding. Which then sparks an instant friendship between them both.Heâs known for being a professional footballer and player but once he meets Kennedy Quinn that all changes.Kennedy is charming, funny and not afraid to say what she thinks and looking to start her career on broadway. This story follows them both following them dreams then finally giving into to how they both feel and falling together, but not without a few bumps in the road taking them very much from friends to lovers.

LOVED IT!!!
I am OBSESSED!!! This is perfect for lovers of sports romance, friends to lovers, and banter.I absolutely loved the dynamic between Kennedy and Sawyer. He falls HARD for her but hello so does she for him. It's such a cute addictive story, I could not set it down or should I say hit pause. I read this as an audiobook and the narrators made this perfect! The multiple GOT and LOTR references had me loving it even more. I loved the romance, the "accidental" wooing, ugh it was perfect. One of my absolute favs this year.I cannot wait for more, looks like we're getting another story but this time with one of the side characters and I am so excited!! Cause yes please.Huge thanks to the author for gifting me a copy! All opinions are my own.

I loved everything about this book!
THIS BOOK đĽđ Seriously the best combo of cuteness with spice! This is a steamy friends to lovers sport romance where the guy is OBSESSED (one of my favorite tropes)! We follow the story of Kennedy Quinn, a talented woman who works part time as a waitress. She dreams about becoming a famous Broadway singer. As her relationship with a NFL player goes down the drain, she ends up befriending Sawyer, who supports her through her rough breakup. As time passes she becomes best friends with Sawyer, also NFL player, who gets a big contract for the Cougars team in NY. Their chemistry was undeniable and the banter so addictive! It was also so fun to read about the all emotions involved in a football championship among the players and their loved ones, which was very well described by the author.I felt like I was going crazy alongside these two! Constantly battling their attraction for one another and afraid to ruin their friendship. ALL THE ANGST! Not only that but life keeps getting on the way, which could bring down their hopes for Broadway and NFL. Being a celebrity means all eyes are on you, can they learn how to deal with everything as a couple? You will have to read it to find out!

Fun, cute and steamy. I loved this book!
Fun? Check. Cute? Check. Steamy? Double check.Kismet is a word I wasnât familiar with, but thanks to this book it became one of my favorites, right alongside serendipity. Fate, destiny, kindred spiritsâI love the concept. I believe in it, and my wish for everyone is that you find that person that is your match so completely that your life is all the better for it. This was the case with Sawyer and Kennedy.âSawyer.ââQuinn.âIâll never get over how that simple interaction was so precious. I underlined it in my ebook way too many times. Most times, there isnât even a description of how the two are enunciating each otherâs names, and yet I could hear it clearly in my mind. Thatâs how deep I felt the connection between Sawyer and Kennedy, two strangers who meet at a wedding and become friends. Their brand of humor is perfectly matched, and they understand each other so completely from the moment they meet. Itâs impossible not to root for them. Friends to lovers is my weakness always, but thereâs something about how the friendship started in such a serendipitous way, and how their relationship was always rooted in a mutual trust, yes, but also attraction neither of them acted on, that had me going feral. My only problem with this couple was the infamous twenty-nine days it took for my baby Sawyer to move out of the friendzone after heâd already been stuck there three years.Aside from the couple, I also really enjoyed the secondary characters. My favorites were Andrew (Kennedyâs smexy Viking singer roommate), Trek (Sawyerâs agent), and Hunter (quarterback in Sawyerâs team and *drum roll* Kennedyâs ex.) Admittedly, he didnât have as many moments to shine as the others, but he pleasantly surprised me with the growth and maturity he showed since the start of the book. I can appreciate a man who owns up to his mistakes and is happy that his ex finds the love of her life. Iâm certain the next book in the series is likely going to be Andrewâs, given the ending (and I am SO EXCITED), but I wouldnât be opposed to have one for Hunter either!Anyways, I recommend this book to all lovers of romance. You donât necessarily have to be a fan of sports romance to enjoy this one, since we see more the behind the scenes of being a football star rather than actual game timeâbut hey, hot football players. Just saying.

Sports romance
3,5 starsSwayer and Kennedy meet at a friend's wedding where her boyfriend leaves her for another woman. They become good friends but now Swayer wants more.Swayer is a player that becomes best friends with the only person he knows he can not play with. I liked him because when he decided he wanted to have a chance with Kennedy he gave his all.Kennedy is a wanna be actress that fights hard for her dream but also tries to take care of her relationship. The good chemistry between both of them is present from the beginning, although the moment when they finally get together didn't have much spark. I felt a bit strange their lack of comunication when they were already together as they had been friends for a long time.I loved the glimpse at their life in the epilogue, with just that chapter I felt all the cosiness of their new situation. And that last few phrases point to a very interesting second book in this Sounds of the City series.

An adorable friends to lovers!
KISMET is the demonstration that friends to lovers can be one of the funnest, most angst-filled tropes, especially in a contemporary romance! If you're looking for a no-brainer, fast, entertaining and deeply romantic read, look no further. This is a must-read for sports romance fans!
