I bought this necklace for my 8 yr old daughter it was perfect the chain I choose was 16' and at first glance looked little but once around her neck it fit perfectly she loved it. It is for children 12 and under i believe it's too small for teens and adults as they grow older they can turn it into a bracelet its weightless now the chain you might want to purchase a sturdy one the one I recieved is to fragile I feel if it gets snag it'll bust.
