Too tight for my boots
I had a set a decade ago & a medium fit my size 9 (UK), however this time round it took me 45 minutes & it ended up bending my boot up. Not sure whether it's a case of stretching out the rubber or simply getting rid of them now as its been longer than the return period for amazon. They are great bits of kit when they fit, it's just a shame their sizing is a bit off

Two strong hairy men required
Are they brilliantly waterproof? Absolutely. Can you get them on? If you've two of the finest members of HM Forces available to give you an hour of their time and quite a lot of untapped physical aggression. Can you keep them on? Well, I didn't go with the superglue, so they popped off after 3 days of hard-walking, and since the HM finest were not in the vicinity, there wasn't a hope in hell that I was ever going to get them back on. If anyone wants to have a go, there may still be a pair, size Large, in the swap box of the SYHA in Ullapool.Whilst they were on, I tackled numerous Scottish river crossings fearlessly. The rain was biblical, so a couple of these would have been pretty soggy without the yetis, but Lo! They were as traverses of desiccated desert wadis. However, having been beautifully tight over the sole (advert-standard fitting) the rand gradually crept up at the front, which meant that a very modest amount of water started to get in - enough to start making the boot damp, with no possibility of it drying out. Perhaps I shouldn't have tried to fix this. But I did (Know thy limits!). And the rand popped. Once it had, it exerted such pressure downwards that I could barely get my foot inside the boot, so it would have be impossible to continue using the yetis as ordinary gaiters.3-stars because they are great while on, and maybe if I ate my weetabix I'd be able to handle them. But they do need to stay on in the bundu, and if superglue is needed for that (as lots of the internet videos on fitting do suggest, to be fair), Berghaus need to front up and advise that themselves.A sad tale of a disappointed outdoor gear fan.Thankfully the rain stopped after that.

Buy them
This is my 4th pair of yeti gaters and there's not a better gater on the market that's a fact... Bit of struggle to get them over your boots at first but once they are on they are top class.. I highly recommend them

Good and bad
The difficulty of getting them on may suggest that they're also tight fitting, waterproof and unlikely to come off... that however is not the truth. When they're on they're pretty good, however, I hiked for 7 days in tough terrain and I had to put them back on everyday after they slipped off before the day was through! Really not good enough. I've seen in other comments that superglue is needed to keep them on - I think that really defeats the object of what this product should be. Its a lot of money for what they are. I would NOT buy again, and would plead anyone reading this to not bother either.

Top bit of kit
Not had a pair for years, use them to walk the field on a morning so I don’t get my trouser bottoms wet or covered with cut hay

Not all the Gaiter is Goretex.
I love this product, I've been a user for 30 years. Its a pity though that they stopped making the entire gaiter in Goretex. Only the top half is Goretex, now so some condensation now occurs around the boot and ankle area, which did not happen on the much earlier models.

Gaitors
Really great set of gaitors, difficult to put on but once on they are grand.

These are a nightmare to get on your boots!!
Watch a YouTube clip before you buy.You need to boil them first to soften the rubber then it's like putting a 14" rim tyre on a 24" wheel. 😡🥵
