Unifi AC Shd Access Point

This product is terrible in so many ways: maximum dbm of 15 of all DFS channel, the security WIPS functionality is a scam as it was never implemented by Ubiquiti so it does not work. This is disgraceful and in no way should have been released. Also, why do the WLAN radios restart almost every time a change is made and pushed from the controller to the AP? Other eneterprise-class APs do not do this! Imagine being in a corporate environment and making changes to this thing...everyone will get booted off. This product has no place in the enterprise but is marketed as such.

Working great so far. Wires are a bit tighter than I'd like, but no issues. Should have come with PoE injector for single unit, but wasn't included. Simple enough to fix. Documentation on features could be a bit more robust.Configuration and initial setup could be more flexible. Wasn't able to use the mobile app for configuration and Linux version of UNMS had some dependency issues. Would not be an issue for a large deployment.Using the security radio to view the wireless spectrum still appears to be a work in progress. Software normally timed out with the currently limited features.Fastest connection is listed at 400Mbps. Haven't had a chance to test, but all devices seem to be working well.

$400 device failed with manufacturing defect in less than 2 years and company won't warranty it, further, it doesn't have any UI, you have to install a separate entire java platform to get any kind of UI, and that UI doesn't even include all the features.AVOID at all costs. Mikrotik is a good alternative.

This Ubiquiti wireless access point is advertised to have threat management features including wireless intrusion prevention (WIPS) and detection (WIDS) directly in the product literature. However, after purchasing and testing the SHD for deployment, we found these features simply do not exist. When we reached out to the company through their support portal, our inquiries were ignored with the discussion thread locked to prevent further inquiry. Reaching out via phone was ignored as well. We only paid the higher price for SHDs to get these Threat Management features so this really feels like Ubiquiti ripped us off with fake claims. Further, the lack of corporate response seems to indicate that Ubiquiti knows of the product deficiency and seems uninterested in addressing it.

We bought one for the company that I work for mainly for the Enhanced Security features(WIPS). Be aware that those features may not work at all since Ubiquiti is still haven't been able to get right. Also the WIPS is not what I consider a real Wireless IPS like Cisco, Aruba, etc. If you are just looking for more bandwidth and coverage buy the AP-AC-HD which is the same without the WIPS and above $150 cheaper.

Before I switched to this I was using Google WiFi mesh, and before that it was ASUS mesh, and before then Cisco mesh, and other WiFi techology over the years, none yeilded as good results as the UniFi mesh.UniFi OS is very much like DD-WRT but much much more polished.The worst UI was the Google WiFi mesh.ASUS / Cisco stock UI was fine, but DD-WRT was better.but UI / OS aside, it doesn't matter how good the software is if the Hardware can't keep up, and well Corporate Level WiFi (and its price tag) is definitely delivering the performance where regular home WiFi can't keep up in a very WiFi noisy neighbourhood, every houses around the block has WiFi, so it's extremely challenging to get a good stable signal, specially if you are into competitive Gaming.With all previous WiFi solutions I still had conflict / interference issues with my neighbours, so this is a HUGE step up, secuirty camera feeds are now live streams, before the upgrade they were like slide shows.Needless to say I'm very happy with the product.

Fa il suo lavoro ma le funzionalità legate alla terza radio sono ancora molto acerbe, airtime e airview devono essere ancora raffinate, non sono ancora ai livelli di Meraki e simili. Scalda molto quindi non provate ad imbucarlo dietro/dentro a qualche nicchia senza aerazione. Comodo se avete tanti client per AP la funzionalità di LACP/Port aggregation ma se lo attivate UniFi vi farà un pò un porcile con la seconda porta nei diagrammi(la visualizzerà come un client extra nonostante rilevi correttamente che è usata come secondo uplink)

Questo ripetitore è davvero funzionale. Ha una copertura ottima ed ha un bel design. Ha funzionalità avanzate di sicurezza e scansione dello spettro radio per ottimizzare le prestazioni.

Tengo otro UAP-AC-LR, y en ls misma habitación del AP gana por goleada el SHD, pero conforme vas alejandote del AP, el LR mantiene su velocidad sin problemas, y en cambio, el SHD se degrada mucho la velocidad
