Q: What do I do if they are too tight over the arch of my foot

You can lace up the shoes and put them on first, you wear your chosen footwear with the laces cinched for a half hour or so, to be sure you've got the right tension and that you've left enough extra length in the shoe laces to don and doff the shoes comfortably, and then cut and put the end clips on. Remember that once you cut the laces, you can't make them any longer!

Q: The "lock" does not lock for me. What am I doing wrong? If it does not lock, the button slides down and the shoe remains loose.

I don’t believe you can re-open the clip to reuse. I think I am on my fifth or sixth set. I have had to replace one pair and saved the clips for reuse in case I lost one. I tried to reopen one and was successful in opening it with much pressure, which turned out to be too much pressure. The tiny clips were damaged and could not be closed again after many attempts.

Q: How can I request one clip which was missing from package?

You can't. Return the defective package and ask for a replacement.
