Seems sturdy, really good for my photos and studio setup.

I tried the Aputure Amaran 100d + Light Dome SE, and for $175 + $100, I was not impressed with the build quality. Very plasticky feel with the bluetooth button and bowens mount both rattling/loose. In the past I've always avoided anything Neewer branded, mostly because the name doesn't sound right (as embarrassing is this may sound). If they were called something like LiteX, Revo Lite, or perhaps Lite PRO, I think that would change my perception. NanLite, Aputure, Selens, Godox, etc. all sound better. Superficial, yes, I know. However the build quality of this CB60 is great! Everything is well put together, nothing rattles or feels loose or out of place. The illumination dial could be a bit more tighter. Also, they should go with a round shaped LED as opposed to the square version for symmetrical purposes. My camera and microphone setup is about 5 ft. from the light and the fan noise is inaudible. The power cable is long enough to allow for extra slack. The power supply is internal, so that helps with a clean looking setup. The matte black finish is awesome. I coupled this with a Selens 70cm quick release softbox and the combination is perfect for video and photo use (indoors). I'm not sure the 70W is enough to over power the sunny outdoors. Overall, I'm very happy this setup (this is coming from someone who is OCD about build quality). Great value!

Easy to use, high quality ligh that's reasonably priced.

I was a beginner video hack and then I bought these and started channeling Steven Spielberg. I purchased two of the CB60's in 2019 and they have worked flawlessly for my indoor video work. I'm back today to order two of the CB150's since I'm planning to explore the world outdoors and need to over power the sun. I would suggest using this light on a C-stand or sturdy light stand because with soft boxes the weight is a little weird. Also worthy to note, the CB60 seems to pull very little power. I can power both my lights for several hours(~6hrs) with a 600wh power bank. Makes the whole setup portable and 600wh power banks are pretty cheap these days. Solid purchase.

I am an old school Elinchrom BRX/D-Lite user. So I’m not new to studio lighting equipment but I am new to LED technology. The old school flash bulbs and 100W continuous incandescent bulbs are what I use and having used some 500W to 1000W flash strobes before, this Neewer CB60 is genuinely intriguing.It’s a continuous light that you can use as a key light, spotlight, diffused light if you use an umbrella or soft box. The 5600K color temperature is very accurate indeed. If you have experience with studio strobes, you can always add filters to change the lighting quality as well. With this continuous output LED lamp, it’s like a strobe but not quite like one. The old school strobes I’m use to I position the 100W bulb in positions in the studio to get a sense of how the light will all on my subjects and I use an old Sekonic flash meter to meter the exposure. With an LED continuous bulb like this CB60 model, the light is exactly WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). I’ll have to admit I’ll need more time to experiment with this new technology but overall I will tell you that the light casts consistent 5600K light. You can adjust the light output with the remote (which is handy) and that’s about it. Turning it off/on via remote and adjusting the light power. You cannot adjust the color temperature at all.With this continuous light, you can let your camera set the exposure since it’s exactly how your scene is to be expected. Other than this new way of shooting studio scenes, I think it’s quite alright. I will still continue to use my elinchrom strobes because it gives back my old school control over my scenes. In all honesty I’m so use to the older methods of light photography I don’t think these new lamps are going to do away with the older flash bulb tech. That’s just my opinion as a lighting photographer - NOT as a video shooter.This model is great for the price - in fact it gives you plenty of lumen output even at a mere 70w. The temperature of the bulb is controlled via circuits and a fan that is just whisper quiet. Makes my old strobes fan noise sound so loud!You can attached an umbrella and I’m sure you can find adapters to fit this Bowen mount. I just use this as a back-light at the moment and it works great with some colored filters. Overall this strobe is great for getting product shots using a soft box/umbrella - using just the reflector hood by itself the light is way too intense. You’re gonna need to diffuse the light output.It comes with a power cable a little over 12.5-ft; I don’t find it that lengthy either. I need around 15ft minimum. The remote is nothing fancy but the fancy part is that you can sync up to ten lights together! The most strobes I’ve use in the studio is around 3 strobes, 4-5 if I am trying to be creative. There’s not a need for me to use more than 3 at a time typically. You can chain these guys together and the remote can control each one individually per channel. That is extremely useful!Overall I think this light is a good light and the way the technology is moving forward you get so much ample light output with so little power - the efficiency is just incredible. I still prefer my old school flash bulbs for still photography, however. The most important thing about this lamp is the consistency of the color temperature when you adjust the output power the color temperature stays consistently throughout the power output range. These continuous LED lamps are great for the video guys. The ones that need a lot of light output and little heat from the lamps. For photography, I’m going to stick to my flash strobes. For video shooters, these are just so efficient and produce great light output!The CB60 is rated at 70w and I’m certain it’s more than enough for any scene. Overall a very good lamp that does not run super hot (the fan noise is whisper quiet) and it’s so easy to use. Overall build quality is plastic but the front end Bowen mount is sturdy. No wiggles, nothing bad at all. A very good quality light!

Can be used to do a spot light effect with film over it, or aim it at a corner and emulate natural light, it is a tool that can really step up your photography game.I have a LOT of Neewer products by now, they make both cheap things and more professional things, and this thing is built fantastic. I had accidentally dropped it 6 ft at one point thinking that I had destroyed it- but it was fine and there wasn't even a scratch on the thing (Do not try that at home). I love how well made and professional this light it. I feel like a professional when I bring it out, and I'm still learning as I go.This light has improved my photography significantly, just by being what it is, and easy to use continuous light source. Completely worth the asking price, you wont be upset you got it.

Overall, I like the light for what it is: a very basic, daylight-only, AC unit. It has simple controls that are responsive, a remote, and reasonably good construction given its value pricing and positioning in the market.Light quality is good and close to spec'd color temperature as judged subjectively by correcting photos to standard color cards. I do get some flicker at very low settings and there is a large center hot spot (fortunately amenable to diffusion). I haven't experienced any noticeable drift in color temp in extended use. Physical temperature is well-controlled and the fan noise is low.The mount could be better, but is consistent with most of its competitors.Lately I've been leaving this light on a stand positioned vertically, or nearly so, in order to provide general room illumination and there are any number of similar dedicated roles that would suit it very nicely. It's best suited to smaller venues and scenes given its 70 watt output.Good value at the price and the remote provides extended functionality (e.g. group control).

First time portrait photographer here, so take my review with that in mind.But as far as I can tell, this is a good piece of kit that really stepped up my game.Adjustable light and it does tell you what the temperature of the light is in real time.I paired this with a Neewer softbox and utilized the inner and outer diffuser that softened the shadows and light.Long story short, I am very happy with this purchase.If you're looking for a good review, this is it.

I like this quite a bit. I am more comfortable with studio strobes, but have been traversing into the realm of LED lighting bit by bit . . . I am grateful for Amazon and Neewer making this available to me.It is a well built unit, quite solid, with adequate cooling that is indeed silent. I have a blue one (kind of pointless having a colour selection . . . but a bit of a change). It is physically about the same size as Neewer's monolights. The reflector mount is the ubiquitous Bowens (something I am not a fan of . . . but it is more or less a standard). The unit comes with a hard reflector which is good and well made, and there is a plastic protective cap. There is a reasonable length power cord . . . and the remote . . . which is pointless and unneeded (more on that in a moment).The control(s) on the back of the light are rudimentary . . . on/off and intensity. The intensity is continuosly variable from 0 through 100%, which is a great feature. The consistency is not quite what they claim, but it is very good. I measured it roughly 240k warmer at a couple of the lower intensities. Not the end of the world. There is an USB A socket for supposed firmware upgrades?There is an antenna on the back for receiving input from the remote.I am sure like myself, many of you have a warehouse full of various wall wart/transformer/adapters, and an equal number of "remotes" . . . all usually questionable in their reliability . . . and most, quite worthless.Remote is nice on a lighting unit, especially if it ends up being mounted in an awkward place . . . but Neewer has a pretty decent lighting control app that is free, and works on most of their RGB panel lights and some of their monoblocs . . . why couldn't they have integrated this? That would have been a thousandfold more intelligent and useful . . . than another little doodad waiting to get lost of broken.A great light, and well worth the price . . . but they really need to address the remote issue.

The adjustable brightness was exactly what made the difference.All-in-all, the light was priced at $209.99 at the time of ordering. This will resonate differently value-wise for each user. I found this to be a decent price for the quality of light you are receiving. I suppose the true test of value is what you are using this light for. The baseline comment to this, this light will improve your photography/videography end results, no doubt in my mind.I would recommend this NEEWER CB60 Video light. Just remember, if you do not have a stand or compatible tripod, order one. This light is not very useful without a stand to mount it on. Also, exercise caution and keep the box to store it in and carry for transit to shooting locations.
