Q: Does this work for a 100 lb dog that has long fur

Hi Jodi,It can work for a 100lb dog with long hair. Q: Considering the high range of prices, with some around $50, how does this make it worth while for how much you pay over the cheaper options?

This device has 127 different strengths so you can use as little or as much as you need to correct your dog. Other systems come no where near the simplicity of use or the fine tuned ability to perform its job. You get what you pay for. This device can be used in the water as well.

Q: Why can I not get the collar to charge?

Initially it takes several hours to charge, and after charging don't forget to turn it and the remote back on.

Q: Does this product work on Xxl dogs like mastiffs? Also, does this have beep, pager and shock?

I have a 120 lb Great Dane and it works on her at level 14 (still 80+ levels to go)! Highest I've ever had to go is 30 for her that was at a dog island so she was distracted and outdoors ... It has pager and shock but no beep (I had a beep on a previous one for my boxer he was trained to respond to the beep before the shock so I miss that) but honestly once my girl was fully trained and used to it asking as she has it on she listens even if the unit isn't on and if she's being a pain but see the remote responds even quicker... It's very rare that I actual need the shock... This is my second dogtra I loved them both! Having rechargeable batteries is great.
