Great Quality and Practical Design
As with all Brabantia products, the quality is excellent. This 6L small recycling bin is perfect for sitting on my kitchen worktop, with its stay-open lid and convenient carry handle making it easy to use and move around. It’s compact and practical. Even the colour is lovely. My only negative point is that the bags for this product are quite expensive, especially since you’ll be replacing them regularly when using the bin for food waste.

A dozen Pros vs one mild Con, fantastic product
Bought this composter as I wanted to upsize our current bin. we wanted something that was easy to clean, without the extra annoyance of buying add-ons like filters. This bin does not disappoint. It fits very nicely on our windowsill in the kitchen. It is very inconspicuous (which is a good thing)If the rest of the Brabantia bins are this good quality we may consider investing in the rest of the range.Prosreally modern lookingsturdy plastic; not flimsy but not too heavyremovable ring to fix caddy bags in place6l capacity (aprx a weeks worth of food waste for a 3 person family; coffee grounds, teabags, veg waste)Easy to clean, can bung it in the dishwasher and easy wipable surface with few awquard cornerslid is easy to open but is able to keep in the nasty smellsConsthe bin does come with a pack of composting bags, which is great, but trying to fit my usual compst bags in it juuuust about makes it with a bit of ripping. Im content with using my cheap supermarket brand composting bags, but if you are particular about fitting bags without ripping the edge, you either need to invest in the Brabantia branded ones or go without.

Great fit for countertop
Needed something to hold food scraps as our main bin was becoming too smelly. This caddie is small and fits great on the countertop. Lid sits perfectly and keeps the smells trapped. Is easy to carry with the handle and the lid stays open when needed. Great price and easy to place either on the countertop or installing the wall mount. Definitely recommend!

Does the job just fine !
Having looked at numerous plastic bins, the reviews were not great.I have a Brabantia Bread Bin and so to get another of their products, was the only way forward. They have a fitting to the reverse,so you can fit them to the wall,or like here to the cupboard doors under the sink, these are 12 litres and you get a few Brabantia bin bags with each bin, that fit 10-12 litre bins. This size is ideal for two people and easily lifts off the door, the bags don't sag as you fold them over the side and then replace the lid.Good Job,one colour for Recycle and one for non.We aim to get another brabantia to keep in the middle for food waste to compost.

An excellent bin and just what I wanted
An excellent bin and just what I wanted. However, I have rated it as only 4 star because the Brabantia PerfectFit bin liners that are made to fit this bin are ridiculously overpriced. The Amazon price for this bin has risen from £17 to £21.47 since I bought it. Although not a pedal operated bin (which I did not want, as I do not have it on the floor), the lid is very easy to open and as it opens to just over vertical, it stays up when opened. I use it for fruit & vegetable peelings and the PerfectFit bin liner stays in position when the bin is emptied (unlike my old bin, which used generic bin liners, that were no a perfect fit and the bin liner would fall out and invert itself when emptied, so very messy), so it is easy and not too messy to empty.

Perfect for a small household!
I live alone in a 1 bedroom apartment with a small kitchen. I cook regularly and I was fed up of having my larger bin taking up space in the kitchen and having to empty it even when it was nowhere near full. Furthermore, after a few days it'd often start smelling and due to it being out in the open, flies and gnats were able to get to the waste, meanwhile I was also concerned that taking out a minimal amount of waste in such a large bin bag isn't great for the environment.I started looking at how to be a bit more considerate of my waste - bags including - and I happened upon this waste caddy.I was originally just going to keep this on the counter as a countertop bin, but what's great is that it comes with an attachment to screw into the cupboard door, meaning it can be discreetly kept under the sink out of sight. I've found this to be massively useful as space is such an issue in smaller flats/ kitchens whilst smells, flies and gnats are no longer an issue. The caddy is super easy to fit and was done in around 10 minutes although it should be noted that make sure you place the bin approximately 6 inches away from the edge of the cupboard to allow the cupboard to close. This is likely just common sense but I did mess up and have to make new holes. The caddy itself just slots onto the mount so you can easily take it off and put it on again - super useful when you want to clean it.The size is perfect for my needs and what I use it for as a single person cooking for myself. I didn't buy the branded perfect fit bags as recommended as I wasn't impressed by their reviews, however I did instead pair the caddy with biodegradable bags found elsewhere on Amazon, although aim for 8 litre rather than 6 litre bags as the 6L ones fit but are a little tight.Although this is definitely a game-changer - and a space saver - my only gripe with the bin is that the lid doesn't feel securely attached to the caddy. It's never fallen off, but it feels flimsy when you're holding it by the handle as though it could come detached. Like I said, it hasn't happened but to be safe, I always take it off holding the caddy just in case.
