Battery charging fault
I love everything about this mic and it works well for my flute and links with my amp. The issue after using it on a few occasions (recharging 4 times in between playing for a few hours at a time) is that the mic (which is wireless) runs out of battery within five minutes now making it unusable. When charged for the expected amount of time for full charge, the red warning light of 'low battery' still shows. Amazon will not exchange, fix so I've now lost a lot of money. I wish I could just speak to a real person at ACEMIC and get advice, even if it means changing the lithium ion rechargable battery. I am disappointed that something like this that costs so much doesn't have warranty.

It works!
This is a flute microphone - in as much as the bracket on the microphone is shaped to be attached with a piece of Velcro wrap to cylinder, so basically it will wrap around anything, and then function as a microphone. What then makes this useful is the radio microphone, that frees you from a wire and gives an impressive range, from the sender to the base unit.Presentation is good, a zip bag contains a soft cut out foam panel for the principle parts, with the USB charge cord and adaptor etc in a pocket in the lid. Both the base and sender must be charged.Pairing these is relatively straightforward, however the manual is not the best, which for an item at this price point was a little disconcerting. But essentially plug the base unit in, turn it on, (you can choose a different channel if you wish) switch the small two switch across, and turn on the sender unit place them close together to the IR signal can match the RF channel, a green light comes on - on the base unit, switch the tiny toggle switch back. Then you are transmitting. There is an adaptor to reduce the standard TRS 6.5mm to 3.5mm jack - meaning I was able to plug this into my PC, which was the handiest device.I got a good signal, and clear recording doing a basic test, but ran into the common issue of only have a recording on the left channel, there are fixes for that.Essentially this is a reasonably made product that is outputting as common to mic's a mono signal. While I was impressed with the quality I have to balance that against the cost which is at time of writing £130.Practically it seems retrograde to no allow different clips to be mounted to the microphone. But as a radio mic this worked.

Not The Easiest Thing To Setup
It has taken me quite a while to test and try to use this device before writing this review mainly due to the instructions being very vague on the operation and settings of the receiver and transmitter. On opening, this set does come in a sturdy and well protected case, everything is laid out in their own pockets ready for use. Along with the transmitter and receiver units comes a USB charging cable, an aerial for the receiver, an adapter for the microphone connector to a suitable amplifier and a spare wind guard for the microphone which is just is well due to the fact that the way this has been packed the guard thats fitted is totally flat.I removed the two units and set them up as best I could as the instructions were no help at all. I attached the microphone to a drum pad that I used for testing and the receiver unit I attached to the input of my AVR unit. The two units paired almost straight away on the RF channel but after reading the instructions it said about pairing the infrared too, I tried this on many occasions but I failed to get the IR to pair no matter what I tried. Luckily this set seems to work without the IR side of it and I really don't know why it would need the infrared as it works just fine using the RF, again the instructions were no help with this and don't explain why the IR might be useful.I carried on with my testing and although all I have is a drum pad to test with the sound reproduction was very good and the range seemed to cover my whole house as I tested in different areas taking the drum pad with me but leaving the AVR where it was. I would have loved to be able to test this on an instrument with notes such as a flute or saxophone unfortunately I don't have those to hand at this time.Overall, this set is of a decent quality with a very nice sound reproduction but to me it is over priced mostly due to the lack of information in the instructions which should have been made far clearer to read and interpret.

A quality flute microphone, easy to attach to flute
First impressions are a lovely well made product, the quality did make me go wow, however, no instructions may be an issue for some.I’m familiar with this type of product having been in the audio and vision trade for over 30 years, so found it straight forward to use.You have a receiver and sender, the microphone is the sender and the larger unit is the receiver. The quality is excellent, I am amazed at how true the audio is, I used this is a friends studio which he has in his garden (I know, big garden, more money that I have), he is a musician and hooked it up to his studio equipment and a flute, the mic has clamp which you connect to the flute, and your able to position the mic by bending the mic bitThe reproduction was superb, picked up the flute so well, we were really pleased, more my friend than me as he’s in to this type of studio stuff. For what you get the price is about what you’d expect to pay, comes in a nice case to help keep it protected
