KILLS THE BATTERIES IN 3 DAYS
I purchased this remote to replace the remote for my Yamaha avr (RAV172). First, the positive and negative locations for the batteries are mislabeled. I put the batteries in as labeled and the remote got very hot. When the batteries were reversed it did work. Second, not all remote features work with my avr. However, on/off, volume, and input (tuner, tv vcr etc) did work, which was sufficient for me. Finally, the remote kills the batteries in about 3 days.

Excellent...does the trick perfectly!
Over the years, the remote control for my Yamaha DSP-AX620 surround sound amplifier, had reached a point where it was impossible to change the volume by even the tiniest amount. However, this remote control works perfectly and I am over the moon!
