Great read. My 10 year old could not put it down after I finished. Logical, sound comparison of players throughout NBA history and how they stacked up against the GOAT, LeBron James.

Misleading title, and poorly written, fake reviews!
I'm editing my review after further reflection:DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! It is not what the title or description claims. The reviews below are fake; posted on the same day the book was released, by "amazon customer", and each reviewer only has this single review to their account. Fake account. One review even says their 10 year old loved the book... how could you post the review the day it was released, have gotten the book, and the 10 year old have already read it. Shame on you Brendan Bowers. I RETURNED THE BOOK AND GOT MY MONEY BACK!Original review below:I bought this book because I wanted a better analysis of what I was already convinced of... that LeBron James is the GOAT... yes, better than Jordan. But I was very disappointed. According to the title, and flipping through the chapter headings, it seemed like the book would give proper arguments for LeBron's GOATness, refuting arguments like playing in a "weak" Eastern Conference, "superteams", and the legend that is Michael Jordan. With a title like this, I was expecting something like Nick Wright vs. Skip Bayless. This book doesn't do any of that. This book is just a highlight reel of LeBron's career, intermixed with a history lesson some of the top 15 NBA players. The only arguments it puts forth for LeBron being better than any of them is 3-5 sentences at the end of a chapter summarizing why LeBron has more "Legacy Points" based on some arbitrary formula of Championships + MVPs + All-Star selections. If it were appropriately described and titled, I probably wouldn't have bought the book. But with that being said, I am still enjoying it for the most part. If you want to learn some introductory information about some of the top NBA players of all time, and relive some of LeBron's greatest moments, then this is a fine book. Just know what you're getting. So why three stars?1. Misleading title and description. Like I wrote above, this is not a senior thesis on the LeBron being the GOAT. This is a NBA history book.2. Veeeeerrrryyy poorly written. (and this is what compelled me to write this review) I don't know if it's because this writer rushed to finish this for the sake of relevancy, but it feels like a 1st draft. It reads like the author wrote it in a week, and I bet he did. Also, sometimes the writing just doesn't make sense. It is like a stream of consciousness that sounded good in the author's head, but because it wasn't edited properly, it is hard to understand what he means. Many times I had to reread whole sections just for it to make sense. Disappointed here. Not an easy book to read because of the poor writing.Overall, fine book I guess. Learned a few things. Just know what you're getting...and what you are not.

Lebron 1. NBA 0
There was a time when I believed that Lebron's career would never surpass Jordan' s legacy. That was before I read "Lebron James vs the NBA". This is a MUST READ for all Cleveland sports, Cavs, and Lebron fans. Bowers' arguments for "the king" are about as convincing as you can make as he successfully provides context across NBA eras for a career that saw the game transition between different styles of play, yet the king has dominated throughout. We are truly witnessing greatness and the latter portion of Lebron's career should be celebrated each time he takes the floor. In a day and age in which we reach for a phone to settled every sports debate, it's refreshing to read a book that seemingly arms you with clap back ammo the next time someone says "Lebron ain't the best".

Fake reviews. Interesting that 12 of the 14 five-star reviews were all written on the same day...

Awesome read with fascinating facts and history
I loved how this book shared the heart and story behind the statistics that we know these players for. The profiles of each player are interwoven with fascinating stories and quotes that make it a page turning read. Not only do you learn about the skills these players have that make them so great, you also learn about their personalities, personal traits and stories that led them to where they are today. The book is well researched and the "legacy points" rating system make Bowers' case for the greatest player both compelling and rational.
