Would recommend!
Gym arrived later than expected, but company phoned to apologise, saying they had paid for next day delivery. They contacted delivery company who also apologised to them. Company kindly sent small gifts as compensation for late delivery ( boys will love, last exam tomorrow) as per previous reviews, slightly complicated to construct as some screws are already in place.. just to confuse you! Definitely need tools mentioned in the other reviews but actually fun to put together and EXTREMELY pleased with the results! Looks great and well used already!! 2 very happy young men with early Xmas present! Would definitely recommend this product!

Excellent Multi-Gym
Very pleased with this multi-gym. Does everything I need and more, feels well made and hopefully it will last !Building it took me about 3 hours. Everything was pretty straightforward. Instructions could be slightly easier to read, but all small parts are stuck in a blister pack thing that tells you what each is. One of my packs all the parts had collected in the middle but since all bolts and washers etc have measurements shown I soon sorted them all out. All went together with mostly 14mm and 17mm sockets and spanners, and part fit was absolutely fine.Very pleased and definitely value for money.

OK.. but not worth £300
DELIVERY:Everything came in 3 boxes, the weights in two mediums sized square boxes that you will still need a trolley for unless you are already a power-lifter.The rest of the gym is in one big rectangle box that is about 1.8m high and very heavy as it contains the metal frames.THE PARTS:The nuts, bolts and other 'silver' connectors come in a blister pack and are numbered. Everything else which is 'black' (wheels, pulleys, brackets, various pipes etc) are not numbered even though they have 'fictional' numbers in the manual.THE MANUAL:The manual is poor, if you don't like to tinker with stuff or your average Ikea build takes as long as a game of monopoly then you will not enjoy this.As others have said, the manual is small (A3) and NOT clear. The worst part is in some places the diagrams and text conflict and you are left to use your own judgement. I've attached the manual to this review. Some parts already have the nuts and bolts attached or are already fixed into their frame counterparts but the manual will either show them detached or direct you to use screws\bolts from the pack which is confusing.TOOLS:You will NEED spanners AND an adjustable wrench. For the spanners size 13, 14 and 17, there is also two nuts bigger than this but you might be able to handle it with the adjustable wrench however I would advise a full spanner set.You will also find that this combo is necessary to tighten many of the nuts and bolts which are NOT threaded well, use the wrench to hold one side while you use the spanner to tighten through on the other.THE BUILD:It took me about 3 hours (and I loved Mecanno as a kid), the problem again comes to the instructions which can burn a lot of time trying to interpret and forcing you to re-do something which was not clear in the first place.I would advise to not fully tighten until you are sure i.e. the manual will instruct you to secure the wheels but the cable is obstructed from being being feed through afterwards so be careful. The pulley system is also badly illustrated, if you end up with slack there is a chain at the base near the weights which needs to be hooked and must be taut.THE QUALITY-The seat seems weak at the sides where there is no metal underneath the wood, i'm sure this will start to splinter or break as some point unless you are sitting dead center.-The wheels for the cables are plastic.-The spring and pin connector (74 and 47) which hold things in place for the lat pulldown vs chest press modes sometimes pops out under heavy load even when screwed in.-The select bar is very short, if you are pulling lighter weighs and it is not 100% aligned then it will land on top of the weights instead of through the hole on the release.-Almost all the washers are bent or badly warped, even though these should straighten when tightened you will find many of the bolts will not make it through to the other side as the warped washer is adding too much space for it to reach the bolt. In this case you will have to hammer the washer flat again.-Many of the nuts and bolts are not threaded very well and will get stuck, use the adjustable wrench\spanner combo described above.SUMMARYIf you absolutely need to have a home multigym and are on a budget then I would say go for a cheaper alternative like the £150 to £200 starter gyms.If you absolutely need to have a home multigym and are not on a budget then you should really be looking at the £1000+ range as this is just not good enough. If neither the above apply then I would strongly recommend that you pay £20 a month for a gym membership and use their £5000+ quality kit.Not a great purchase, had it been £100 less then it would warrant 4 stars.

Not so good for legs
Set this up in my garage. Good value but limited range of leg-work possible

Slick product...fiddly setup
Very happy with my purchase of this item! I will warn you that the initial set up is quite demanding as you can imagine from something with so many moving parts and pulleys. It looks good, works well and is slick.....you do get the odd clanging of weights and pulleys when using but it's not a problem if listening to music. Changing the peck press to a forward press can be very fiddly and slightly annoying if the Alan key decides is didn't want to fit, but I've finally got that sorted now. *TIP* be aware if you are thinking about installing this in a shed with a sloping roof or lean-to as I found out! There's only one place it fits in my shed and that's at the very far corner where the sloping roof is tallest! Pay attention and adhere to the height of the item before buying.
