Morphy Richards Comfigrip Steam Iron 303118 Red Black Steam Iron [Energy Class A]

I wanted something a bit sturdier and better made than the £25 'lightweight' iron I was replacing (after a year and half of use it leaked water around the cable port), and am very pleased with this model, especially given the price isn't excessive. This plows through creases like a dream; a light spray was all that was needed to get rid of denim creases, and it miraculously didn't iron creases into my over-washed cheap t-shirts (the benefit of a heavier iron). I wasn't uncomfortable after finishing my hour-long marathon of ironing clothes that had backed up. The cord length is okay - I'm not trapped in a corner with the ironing board, which is all I ask. It's easy to use on nearly every fabric (didn't have anything linen to iron, happily!), has nothing overtly annoying about it, looks okay (I never thought I'd care, but have you seen some of the designs on irons right now? wth happened?) and is stable when upright. It feels like the production quality is very good, so I have hopes of this lasting longer than its predecessor.

This is a really great iron. I do a lot of ironing and this one is light weight, the cord length could be a little longer but I plug it in everywhere and it never causes me an issue. It’s comfortable to use. Nice design. Good heating settings and adjustable steam. Love the vertical steam feature, I’ve used this function for steaming suit trousers and jackets and dresses. Great service as usual from amazon too.

Overall, an above average iron. The build quality is very nice, its pretty heavy which some people may dislike, but I prefer. Heats up very quickly and steam works well to remove stubborn creases, however i did see a few water drops leaking when giving it a steam boost, which i dont mind too much but it can be annoying at tumes. The soleplate glides very smoothly which does make ironing faster. I dont really care for the vertical steam function, it doesnt work too well, it gives about two or three nice steam shots but then gives up for a while until it can generate more steam. Overall for the price I would recommend this iron, it is a time saver and looks to be very durable.

encountered a contradictory minefield of reviews when recently trying to choose a replacement iron. Opted for this and it is very good and was also great value. There are a couple of plastic buttons parts on it which I hope las the course but other than that this is a proper iron. When full of water it is heavy but does the "glide" that people look for in other reviews and has a constant steam with extra when asked for. I use a high up socket so cannot comment on cable length. I waited a while before posting this and I have 4 children so I use this every school day and more. Great buy so far

What is not to like about this iron - does exactly what it says it does and does it very well indeed. It is well built, has a decent cord and delivers the required effect. A good range of settings and ergonomically very easy to use. It is probably the best iron I have used and it has been very effective across a range of materials. If you are thinking of buying it - go for it!

This product is AWESOME.So technically advanced but so surprisingly easy to use.It looks huge but is extremely light.My wife has become an expert and critic of steam irons over the years but she rates this Morphy Richards model as the best of steam iron of all brands she has ever used.

One of the most important items necessary in life is a damm good iron that irons clothes to perfection in shortest amount of time. Also to be able to do this task efficiently without the worry or threat of the any items getting stuck to the sole plate of the iron as it is coated with a protective coating to prevent this from happening. I think it is an amazing iron and on Amazon I managed to purchase it for half the price I was going to purchase it for from another website who professes to have the lowest prices available. I would definitely recommend this item.

Initial concerns over whether or not the iron was new, as it was delivered in the manufacturers box, and not in the usual Amazon packaging. I'm still not convinced it hasn't been used/opened, as there is no protective cover on the base of the iron, and no plastic cover over the plug. That said, it looked ok, so I decided to keep it and use it. Personally, it's perfect for me, it is on the heavy side, as other reviews stated, but I prefer a heavier iron. The steam/extra steam functions are really easy to use, and it seems hotter than my previous iron, which is great.My only gripe is that the cord is quite short - i've had several irons over the years, and this is definitely the shortest cord of any iron i've used. I sorted it with an extension lead, but this isn't brilliant, as it adds to the weight of the iron.I've only given it 4 stars due to this - with a longer cord I would have given it 5 stars.
