Cheap and cheerful - but don't expect too much!
I didn't expect much from this item when I bought it, so was pleasantly surprised. It does exactly the same as many other items, for a fraction of the price. The product is not particularly sturdy, so wouldn't be much good for professional use. for the occasional odd jobber, like myself, it has already proven very handy. The one only gripe I do have is that delivery was a lot slower than expected - but this may be due to my location in the Channel Islands.

I went and bought a proper one in B&Q.
As I opened the package and took out the tripod, it fell apart in my hand!!! I could have coped with that as I wasn't planning to use it, however when I put in brand new batteries and had to take them out to try different ways to make it work I realised I'm wasting my time because it doesn't!!!I've already sent it back in the post and awaiting a refund.I went and bought a proper one in B&Q.

The laser level is of a fairly cheaply built plastic construction. However the unit that I recieved had a faulty battery compartment and the laser cut out when it was closed. When I could get the the laser to work, it was reasonably powerful and had a good range. The filter which slides over the laser lens produces a good vertical and horizontal line fo producing levels. The one real criticism was that the size of the laser dot is quite large so getting a very accurate position was not so easy.Overall though not bad value for money if you get one that works OK. I was probably just unlucky, In hindsight i should have bought something like the Draper laser level for about £40

Not brilliant the laser light isn't that bright and doesn't extend that far. The tripod is poor quality and I think you can see that from the image.I used y camera tripod.

Four Stars
Very Good for the price. Good for Horizontal lines only, and at close range.
