Great value for the money!
We moved our daughter across the country. We had to fly out, pack her car, and drive back. We loaded the car carrier full, and strapped it to the top. The straps were extra long, but held great! We went through rain with no issues. Simply said, great product!

Flap keeps flying up which increased the drag on our car
Drove it from LA to NYC and the only issue we encountered was that the flap kept getting blown up and collecting air, which decreased our mpg significantly.I cannot comment on the straps, as I also used a ratchet strap to secure it to my car.Otherwise great product! Kept everything dry despite driving through some heavy rain

It has very durable material and it is waterproof...mostly. I got a little water inside mine on a long hightway trip with driving rain. There is a nice flap that covers the zipper. Note: If you do not have the carrier completely full, the flaps may not be in a vertical position. Water at high speed may slip under the flap and force it's way into the interior. This is difficult to prevent for any carrrier. I corrected my usage on next highway trip where I also encountered rain. I had the carrier packed full so its was sitting properly. I did not get any water inside.
