This is a waste of money if you don't know how to tweak it forbit to work properly.
This is a waste of money. Does not swim well in the water. Keeps swimming to one side and keeps popping up out of the water at higher speeds. Does not dive down. Don't waste your money like I did. I'm editing my review. To be fair, after tweaking this lure it worked great but I still think it should have worked straight out of the package. So instead of the intial one star I'll give three.

Could not get the lure to troll correctly
The lure looks great with very strong hooks.. but maybe it was my rigging I was trolling with 150 pound mono leader could have effected the action… The lure continue to skip out of the water no matter how far back I put it behind the boat..

Will not troll!!
I bought this lure as an experiment because it resembled so closely the Rapala CD series that have gotten so expensive. I was very impressed on examining the lure. It appears to be built of the highest quality materials. I immediately purchased another one, before I had run the first one. Big mistake. This thing will not stay in the water at 4 knots. I think I am the heavyweight champ at tuning the bills on CD lures, but that was not the issue here. This thing was not pulling one way or the other, it was just making such gigantic wobbles in each direction that it could not possibly keep swimming at anything but at a rod and reel retrieve. Just a very bad design. The hydrodynamics are all wrong. Perhaps it is the scoop that surrounds the edge of the bill. CDs don't have that. I may try grinding that off and see if it is any better. I am very, VERY disappointed.

Works in pacific ocean BAJA
Caught numerous species in baja mexico. Held up very good and hooks are still sharp. It ran strait as can be with kind of an offbeat to the wiggle / vibrations which seemed to work great.

Relentless fish attacked this lure
Went fishing the Colombian Pacific and the lure worked perfect and landed needle fish and Pacific Sierras.

The best!
This lure is the best I have so far. Just bought another one different.Today I went out and got a 36 inch bonito and a 40 inch barracuda.Definitely my go to lure!!!!!!!!!!!

Favorite Lure
Tried various lures from many manufacturers, with unique shapes and vibrations, in calm or rough waters, at different times of the day. Among them, Captain Jay’s trolling/diving lure is one of my favorite for boat fishing. Excellent quality, strong and sharp hooks! Highly recommended!

This is a good lure
The lure works very well! Great quality , with super strong Japanese triple hooks ,its also a good size for all saltwater game fish. No more ballyhoo rigging needed. We love it all ! Highly recommend.

Doesn't swim properly
The minnow doesn't swim rights..can barely go 3ft deep
