Collins World Atlas: Paperback Edition Paperback – 11 Feb. 2016

Hello, I have found this an excellent quick reference atlas but with my eyesight I will have to purchase a larger scale one at sometime soon.

Great item, able to look at individual countries and see the smaller place names which is what i wanted. Good value for money and good quality. A nice book. Arrived quickly too. Easy to read and has extra info inside like largest lakes etc which is nice and interesting.

A nice introduction to world geography at a good price. Britian and Ireland are covered in greater detail than other countries, but there's plenty of thorough information throughout. The maps are visually appealing and, as far as I can tell, quite up-to-date. The statistics and initial maps of the world add to its appeal as an introduction to world geography. The maps themselves are quite detailed, featuring major rivers, mountains and cities where they exist. It is detailed enough to provide simple information and encourage further curiosity about the world.Physically, the atlas pages are made of good quality paper. It's quite lightweight and thin, but does provide a fair amount of information.

My copy was for a present to someone who wanted an atlas but who had suffered a stroke and so only had the use of one hand. This made the light-weight, paper-back format ideal. She was delighted with it as it was easy to handle, whereas a larger, heavier, hardback format would have been impossible. Two satisfied customers!

This seems to be the successor to the mini edition.The book is bigger and thus includes more detail in the maps. However the maps aren't colour coded and the pages feel more fragile to tear and the text is very small on the pages showing statistics. The bigger book is just not as convenient to hold as the old mini edition; which also feels allot more strong. I tried to return it, but Amazon offered me to keep it and still give a refund: Good customer service! Overall the book is just alright.

Excellent atlas for the money. latest edition fully up to date.Pity there's not more colours for clearer country definition.Purchasers should know that this is quite a large book in size, not pages.

This atlas is not all that thick but does cover all the places you might need to know if your not all that serious or interested in one particular place. Up to date and clear maps its been great to just check places and get generally familiarized with locations on the news, quizzes or to clarify memory. A useful childrens resource too and great value for money.

Great atlas , lots of information and clear maps. My daughter is very pleased with it
