Royal and Langnickel Sable and Camel Hair Super Value Brush Set (Pack of 10)

I think other reviewers have been too harsh with these brushes. I did read a few before I made my purchase and found them quite off putting. You can't expect too much from these brushes for the price you are paying. If you are looking to get qualifications as an artist, these are not for you.However you get a good selection of different sized and shaped brushes for different jobs, and they can be used for a few different paint types. I can understand the frustration of some of the brushes having straying hairs. I have experienced this with one of the fine pointed brushes that I wanted for intricate detail work, so you want it be precise. It becomes a problem when the brush starts to become dry, so I tend to add more paint to just the tip of the brush more frequently. I have not had this problem with the other sizes and shapes in the packet. The plastic handle is not uncomfortable to hold. I don't tend to paint for too long a period of time, but I have used it none stop for an hour.

Got this kit for the finer detail brushes, and to have some larger ones when/if needed on spot work round the house, you know when there's a mark on skirting or architrave which won't come off and it's easier just to paint over it.The fine detail brushes are adequate, but the brushes seem to have been glued on the ends, as they don't all flow like a regular brush. The tips seem to be stuck together and the hairs don't open out. I might run scissors over them, I find it most odd and not sure if this is intentional to keep their shape. It would be like painting with a swab.

these brushes are delivered in good condtion and are well made and packed well,the question is haw long will the brushes stand up to use with water colour painting un to canvice,i hope the brushes will last for a long time in constent use painting and washing under warm water when finised painting or will the brush ends come away and will the handals not brack up in use ,i hope they will stand up to use with cleaning and painting on with water colours,thanks for this very good set of brushes,thanks peter.a.

Not as impressed with these brushes as I have been with the brand before. All the larger brushes left hairs behind them when painting, and they seemed to malt fairly quickly. On the whole just makes paintings look unprofessional. However, the smaller brushes were of more decent quality and didn't produce the same problem. Arrived quickly and were reasonably priced overall.

It is a pretty good set of brushes if you just start painting, but once you improve your skill, you'll realize that it's just not good enough anymore. So, basically, if you've never painted before, go for it, it will do just fine. If you know your tools, go buy something else.

I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews on this product but decided that some of the comments were invalid, eg criticism of the stiffening applied to new brush bristles. The item arrived promptly, was well packages and, whilst the bristle is not up to the finest quality, has proved more than adequate for my glass painting requirements. Perfectly sound construction, no failures so far.

this product was absolute rubbish. I'm a beginner so didn't want to shell out just yet but these brushes were useless from go. the minute I put brush to paper the bristles were falling out, they were in the paint on the page and once they were loose they can be pulled out with absolutely no effort. however I complained to Amazon, I got a response within half an hour and they have refunded the money so pleased with the service at least.
