Homecraft Traditional Crook Handle Walking Stick Chestnut

A nicely finished, straightforward, traditional walking stick. Having found myself in need of a little extra support when walking any distance I have been using a lightweight aluminium stick with a padded handle which, while it has never let me down, always felt a little insubstantial and uncertain. This stick is heavier, but with a smooth and hand-friendly crook and substantial feel it gives greater confidence and a pleasantly weighty "heft" to plant in loose or uneven surfaces. Sometimes old answers turn out to be better than new ones and, for me, this walking aid, trimmed to length with a simple hand-saw, is the perfect answer without all the multiple adjustments, bells, whistles and high-tensile technology. (...and: No; I am not a dinosaur, I am an ex-RAF Electronics technician and great advocate of technology in the right place, but this time, for me, the traditional is more than good enough).

Excellent walking stick, light but sturdy, good price and free delivery. It's 36" - 91.44 cm in length, for anyone's future reference, I'm 6' - 182.88 cm tall and this length of stick fits me perfectly.

This is a walking stick of traditional design and appearance. I did buy it with a view to taking it with me on my walks on the hills but it is not designed for that - more of a stick to aid elderly folks get about. Having said that, it is well constructed and quality in feel and appearance.

Purchased for my dad who finally agreed that he needed one. This stick for the money is excellent, the quality is superb and you can just cut the stick to size. I have to admit that the quality to price ratio was a bargain and am extremely impressed. The delivery box was huge with even the delivery guy laughing.

Hubby is 6 foot and actually had to make this shorter! Nice and strong, he has 2 of them to keep him balanced and upright. Comfortable grip and very good quality. They will last for years.

Late review I was un-impressed and it was left on the side till my one year old grandson wanted to play with it. It is a plastic resin and it feels cheap and nasty compared from one previously bought by my wife that is wood and was the same ordering details different stick

Strong, cheap, and just what any body needs if they need a walking stick, it looks good the price was good and as usual the service from Amazon was perfect.
