Fitting New Fan Motor
This is the second time I've had to replace this unit. It would seem a couple of years is about all you can expect from a fan motor, I do have to say though, our oven works very hard, and for normal use I would recon it would last considerably longer.First thing power OFFThe unit is easily installed. I replaced the heating element at the same time as I thought it would make sense.First thing you will need to do is remove oven door so as to gain unhindered access. Next remove the rear cover enclosing the fan and heating element, four screws usually. Next remove the fan, this is done by using a small spanner or socket wrench. I used a 10ml socket. Remember this nut has a left hand thread so be carful not to tighten it instead of loosening it. TURN CLOCKWISE TO LOOSEN at the same time holding the fan blade to stop it turning. Next step is round the back of the oven.Slide your oven out from the base unit it is housed in and remove all the screws from the rear, usually about ten. This will give you access to the fan motor unit. You will see that it is secured by three screws and is connected by two wires which have spade connectors. If unsure you will remember which wire goes where, then take a picture with your phone, but it's really very simple.Disconnect the two spades and remove the three screws, and the fan motor will now be free to remove. Insure that the new motor is replaced in the same possession. Do not over tighten the screws, remember these are small self tapping screws and can strip a thread as easily as cut one. Another point about over tightening is the danger of bending the rear of the oven which is only thin sheet steel, if it bends then the fan may not be true and may then vibrate. I did this the first time and was able to get it back to true with a bit of persuasion.Put the rear cover back on, replace the fan blade and turn it on. when you are sure all is well turn off again and replace the cover over the fan and heating element and you're all done.I'm not an electrician by the way, and I would urge you if you are unsure about this type of job, then leave it to someone who is competent.

slightly different terminals
Fitted fine to Lamona single oven. Wiring was slightly different from original but as this motor is A/C you can fit either terminal (no earth on my cooker but there is a contact if needed. Working fine seems to have been the problem now fixed.

Replacement Fan and Motor LAM4601
Good replacement but I required to make some adjustments to the fan cover as the blades were catching on the back. I also needed to use longer screws when fixing the motor to the back of the oven as the originals weren’t long enough. Apart from that works well so far

Excellent replacement part
Great value replacement fan for a Howdens / Lamona double oven. Making sure that the oven was cool, I isolated the oven from the electricity and removed from the tower unit, I removed the upper and lower back panels from the oven (carefully removing about 15 screws in the process). I also removed the fan cover from inside the ovn itself and carefully removed the fan (please note, the nut which holds it in place is a reverse thread, so you turn clockwise to loosen it). I the removed three nuts which were holding the motor unit in place and the two power connections and swapped the units out. I replaced the fan and cover and replaced the back panel and screws. All done and dusted in about 30 minutes. A reasonably straightforward replacement, but if in any doubt, get a professional to do it for you and don't take any risks.
