It's just okay
This solar powered light ball is a great idea with a few flaws. It does take a while to charge, even in full sun all day long it took two days. The light is not very bright but I could imagine if there were maybe a dozen or so in the pool or lining a walkway they could be somewhat functional. I did not expect one ball to light up my entire pool after dark anyway. I will probably put it in the guest bathroom when entertaining. I think if this item was priced less than $10 each or packaged as a set of 6 they might be worth it.

Not too pleased with the application for my light
I was a little let-down with this light.Well, more than a little let-down I should say because I have already had to throw it in the trash can.So here is what I got for ya- I was expecting a pretty neat floating pool light that would light up the pool or at least a portion of it as it floated around. But it really didn’t. I could barely see it and had to look around my pool to even find it at night because it wasn’t even bright enough to notice it.Secondly- although it seemed a good enough quality to be sturdy and air tight in the dome, I guess it wasn’t. Pool water seeped in and corroded the batteries and wires inside of it so it’s done for.Buuuut, I am a positive person so here is my suggestion and reasoning as to why I gave it 3 stars and others may feel 3+ as well.Dont use this light for the same application I did. It’s neat looking enough to where I know my kids would have enjoyed it in their rooms or roll it around and play with it in the dark or something.Overall it’s a decent looking gadget- just did not work at all for its main advertised purpose.

Solar batteries dont last very long!
The light turns dull by 9pm and turns completely off by 11pm even if it's out in the sun the whole day..not very impressed with it.

A nice bright decoration - but maybe not the best pool light
The media could not be loaded. I put the light by the side of our pool in the sun - the days are short in December so in the summer I would expect more light. It was fairly easy to open the dome to reach the switch. I had it floating in the pool - it was waterproof enough and floated well.It has a bright light, being winter it didn't light for more than an hour, but the light was a bright point source. It did not light an area of the pool underneath it like some other lights. So then I put it by the side of a path in a planter. It didn't light up for more than half an hour as the plant shaded it for most of the day - nevertheless it came on automatically.Strange to say, even though I set it on white light in the pool, it came on orange when I had it by the path. Maybe I set it to the next mode when I switched it off. The switch made it go:white light on, off, orange light on, off, red light on, offwhen pressed repeatedly. So I suspect after pressing off after the white light was on, the next choice of orange light came on.It doesn't have a huge battery life - but that might be because the days are short and it is cold.I was a little disappointed that the light didn't shine downwards to illuminate the pool. However, the design does mean it is stable with weight in its base.So it's a nice bright light, but not a substitute for a pool light. It could be useful to illuminate a path for evening guests who leave fairly soon after dark before the batteries die down.

Decent but misleading
This product is MUCH smaller than pictured.Would like some truth in the ad.Overall very cool, just not what's pictured...

Takes a very long time to charge initially.
I live in Arizona and you solar lights all the time so an after almost 2 days, this light still wouldn’t turn on, I assumed it was broken… but it wasn’t! It just took a very long time (at least several days) in the direct sunlight before it started working normally. Now it looks great!I do wish it was a little bit bigger and through a little bit more light but I guess the other option is to buy a couple of them and scatter them throughout the pool. I do like the nice glow that it throws this way I don’t have to turn on the pool lights. I did my best at capturing a picture. :-)

Multicolor floating solar light
The media could not be loaded. The light changes color as if floats around the pool or sits on the edge of a garden path. I love the idea. The actual product is less than perfect. Mine came with the solar panel broken loose from where it is glued to the inside of the plastic globe. I didn’t place in water because there is no gasket or seal between the two pieces of the round plastic globe. This is certain to leak if the ball is floated in a pool. But for use as a garden path edge marker it will repel rain ok. This is a bit high priced for just one small globe.

Pictures make the ball light appear larger than it is, it is pretty cool product though!
Was a little disappointed at the size when I opened the box up as the pictures make it seem bigger than it really is in a couple of the pictures. I do like it though and think it is pretty cool on the mode that rotates through all the colors!
