Britax Roundabout 55 Convertible Car Seat, Silverlake (Prior Model)

I love this car seat! Besides being the best for safety, the car seat fits well in my midsize Saturn Aura. My son is a small 16 month old so he should be able to use this car seat for a long time. I also looked at the Marathon but didn't see the point in the much higher price. I love that the straps have padding at the neck and there's velcro to keep the straps out of the way when I'm getting him in and out. It was very easy to install with LATCH and I've taken it in and out easily. My son was in his infant carrier until now because he's so small so now he loves being able to sit up straight and watch where we're driving. The only drawback is that I would have liked to have kept it rear-facing until the recommended age of 2 but my son's feet already hit the backseat and it was a struggle to get him to sit down every time. So I decided to turn him around and he's done great! I would definitley recommend this car seat!

It feel apart after few months. We had to buy a different one.

.We bought this carseat for my husband's car and the marathon for mine... The marathon is the PERFECT carseat... And this one is a close second. :/ Easy to install, reclines sufficiently to use rear facing, straps never tangle... But, it's the little things... The marathon has SOOO much added padding that just makes it a more comfortable ride for our little girl. This seat is a fine backup seat, but for your everyday seat spend the extra bucks for the marathon! (Oh, the colors on this one are very nice and clean looking.... But, again... The cowmooflauge marathon takes the cake!)

I found it to be very difficult to push the seatbelt into position when trying to set it up for rear facing, other then that I am very happy with this purchase

As a first time grandmother, I want to have the best for my granddaughter. This seat is the perfect size. Installation was not difficult. (my husband installed it). Getting her in and out of the seat is very simple but when I have her strapped in, I know she is very safe. Material is soft. She seems very comfortable. I like that it has Velcro on the sides so when you strap her in they (the straps) are out of the way and you don' t have to go digging around for them. Also the last car seat she'll have. A bit more than someother carseats, but so worth it in the quality! And a great price thru Amazon! So glad I bought this seat!

Our little guy weighs 23 pounds, at 11 months. It was getting snug in his infant carrier so we got this Britax car seat so he could be more comfortable. It's great! He has plenty of room and the padding is soft and he still falls asleep anytime we are in the car for more than 15 minutes.I have only 2 complaints: First, to release the straps to get him out of the carseat, you have to put your fingers under a little lever to release the tension. It's a little bit cumbersome and I miss having the button on the front of my seat like our Chicco carrier had. Second, since we have it rear-facing and in the reclining position, it only fits in the middle of our back seat, and not behind the driver or passenger. We have a Toyota Tacoma 4 door cab which isn't the roomiest, but we could fit the carrier behind our seats with much adjustments. Having this seat in the middle isn't that big of a deal, I just wish it could fit behind our seats. Perhaps it will, once we turn it to be forward facing.Great car seat for the price though!

We love this seat. The Silverlake design is wonderful, so plush and comfortable for my little girl. She looks so comfy in her new seat. The best feature about this seat is the overall durability, it has steel bars going up the back which assures her safety, as well as when it is installed, it does not budge at all. Unlike our old seat. I feel like she is so safe in this seat. We also love how you can remove the shell and wash easily too. Overall Extremely satisfied. :) The Roundabout is great for us, Britax Seats are wonderful!

I also have the old roundabout from 2006 and this one has better cushions and better latch belt configuration. When you switch it from rear to forward you just slide the latch belt instead of having to reroute it. I gave it only 4 stars because I wish the harness belt was longer. Seems like little guy has to always bend his wrist to get his are out and its just kind of hard to pull out. On my other roundabout the harness loosens really easy. I like the infant insert this one comes with too.
