Does the job very well ...
I bought the 600mA flavour, because the old Kawai keyboard it was to go on asks for 500mA; I didn't really need the flexibility to pay more for more zap. What I really like about this particular supply is that the connector pins allow you to reverse polarity - something that a of power-supplies don't do. Musical instrument often are pin-negative (or centre-negative, depending on what you wanna call it). Why, of all things in the world, gear that may get used on stage as the +ve on the outer sleeve I'll probably never understand, but that's not this power-supply's fault ;-) ... so having a supply that caters for this quirky setup was imperative. Cheap & Cheerful, but in the best way. Works a treat. One minor point, but for me not a reason to mark it down: The barrel sits so snugly in my keyboard that, if I'm not careful, I unplug just the connector from the power-supply's end, leaving the barrel inside the instrument. So, back to fumbling it together with the correct inverse polarity. Nothing a drop of super-glue wouldn't fix once I decide to keep this as the permanent power-supply for this keyboard. They're cheap enough. So, just something to look out for, i.e. how you grab it when unplugging; not really a problem. After the first time, I've simply not done it again.Great little charger, very small & light.

Not really impressed
Bought this for a quick fix for my mums radio lead that frayed and found out its not that great. While it did plug into the radio i found you had to really press it in hard for it to work, and then a slight knock and it just falls out again. Tried the plug bits on a keyboard and even though one was exactly the same size and shape it wouldn't stay connected properly unless i used sellotape to hold it in place. Tired another plug bit on another device and even though the right rating was set it wouldn't power the device.

Best adapter for christmas decs
Perfect for xmas decorations. The different connectors ensure you can plug it into anything.Plus variable voltage means i can match 3 or 4 batteriesSo its all-round perfect. If you plug it in and find led lights dont work on your ornament, turn the plug around that you used. Those 2 tiny pins can go either way.Led require correct polarityMotors will just go backwardsSo i had a train going backwards with no lights. Turned it around. PerfectThis means when i use my teckin smart plug to switch off my tree extension lead that already runs tree lights various polar bears and light up christmas presents my annoying little tree sets on the window sill also turn off. Yay.If they were 5 quid I would of bought moreAt 10 quid ill buy them as things annoy me. Lol

Inexpensive and does the job
Seems to work very well. The changeable heads seem a bit flimsy but I haven't noticed in problems with performance. I'd just be careful if you are changing them a lot to make sure the pins do not bend or break--as it seems they could very easily. For me, I'll be using the same head always so not a problem. One thing I would mention, and this is a rookie error I guess, is to make sure you take a screwdriver to the main body and set the voltage to the correct level. I say scratching my head for 20mins wondering why my turntable was going so slow until I realised I had it set to 3V instead of 12V!I'll update review if anything changes, but right now, no reason to take off a star.

One of the few multi-voltage adaptors with reversible polarity
I use a number of vintage keyboards and other old devices in my studio, and on some of these the positive terminal is on the outside rather than on the pin in the middle, as has become more common today. Most multi-voltage adaptors like this have different sized pins on the swappable heads, meaning you can only polarise them in one way - with the positive terminal on the inside. This makes them useless for this older equipment. On this product however you can swap the direction of the head around which will switch the polarity. These are not the most powerful adaptors at only 600ma, but they are fine for most electronic devices. I just wish more manufacturers offered reversible polarity like this.

Wrong adaptor for Groove personal cd player despite Amazon recommending it as part of a package deal
Amazon show this as the appropriate mains adaptor for the Groove personal cd player. However non of the plug attachments fit the Groove. Complete waste of money, Amazon should at least check the specifications before they advertise as suitable for a particular player

Decent product and well designed 3-12V range stepped output
A decent quality mains transformer with six commonly used connectors, including a USB, that can be attached. A good designed voltage adjuster with recessed click rotate arrow to reduce possibility of accidentally changing output voltage, which ranges from 3 to 12V. Overall a good product for the price.

Great stuff. But so close.
Would have gotten 5 stars but I had gotten a faulty one the first time so I had to buy a second while returning my first one.You can use a small key that you get to set the voltage the cord can give out which is like some next level stuff. The cord is long enough to reach some good distance.
